Sons of Anarchy cast, Kurt Sutter, Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Ryan Hurst, Kim Coates, Theo Rossi, Tommy Flanagan, Mark Boone Junior, Dayton Callie, interviewed by Russell Brand.
I've never in my life been so attached to a television series as I was to this one. Everything from the plot to the soundtrack was perfection. So sad it has come to an end. *goes and sobs in a corner*
witch bi†ch WORD... I've never been this attached to anything on film EVER.. and won't ever happen again unless there's a dope first 9 prequel or sequel.. I started to rewatch this series just now and damn there's never been more false hope offered up in a movie or show ever so depressing lol
I’m rewatching the show, and its just amazing how at first it’s all fun, small drama and it just slowly starts to get so intense, the characters are growing and changing. Sutter did a great job.
rt '09 .....what and American accents aren’t?? Hey, he’s intelligent, funny and a fan of the show - people are different, we’ve all got something different from someone else, who cares. Just enjoy watching repeats and binge watch on the whole series from start to finish and enjoy that rather than bad mouth someone who sounds a bit different from you.....
Garrett Yelton I love how you hear his voice on the show and then you are hearing a totally different voice on this interview. It’s just like Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead (Which I’m in love with both of these shows also, but it’s a different kind of love than what I have for Sons of Anarchy. I can’t really explain it, but I guess maybe a stronger more real life kinda of love.). You hear so many different voices on the shows then you hear the real voices on Talking Dead( which is on right after the show)and it’s like wow!! I love how they can do that. I guess that’s acting for ya lol!!
Spending so long doing different accents affects so many people after so long! Gary Oldman has convinced he’s not using his “real” voice/accent anymore xD
@@freddybeer Charlie Hunnam had to do the same thing. You can hear his accent is a mix in the video. There's a hint of Geordi, which I presume was his original accent. His accent in a film I saw him in recently sounded very odd. More like an American putting on an English accent. He did sound English, just not very natural.
I'm not sure if you listen to the THEOry podcast with Kim (tig) and Theo (Juice) but they just interviewed her on a recent episode and she was absolutely amazing! She even talked about how she does that sniffing thing with her nose when she is being snarky, and how it was based off of someone she knew but didn't even realize she was doing it lol
If an actor plays a character so well that you wish that character were dead while you are watching it. THAT IS WHAT A REALLY GREAT ACTOR DOES WHEN THEY PLAY THE HEAVY. Wind up the emotions! Like Denzel Washington did in 'Training Day'.
robert giammattei ya it is awesome...Otto endured so much pain and suffering in this show...His life and opies are two of the saddest characters who suffered greatly got there choice to be Sam crow...
I’m re-watching for the 4th time😂 & already upto S7 again😓 so much drama that Kurt has aced it in SOA🖤 a series I will always love & have grown to love every character in their own way.🥰🔥
+Rose P sucks for you guys, ive just started the series for the first time lol i get to enjoy it like you guys enjoyed it when it was on t.v....deal with it!!!
My son was into this and he tried to get me to watch it, i kept saying its not my kind of show, when it came out on Netflix he said to watch it, so I started to watch it, it became an addiction and I have now watched it twice. Can not get enough, Jax is amazing and all the shit he deals with and how he deals with it. The reality of what families are like and no family is without their shit. I think I'm gonna watch it again. All Cast members are so convincing and so real. I give this a 10 star rating. Sorprano's was the best and this is now the 1st.
If you haven't you should check out The Shield it is another show Kurt worked on before SOA and was really good at pulling you in and caring about the characters.
kurt sutter is very underrated as a writer if you ask me there not alot of shows that makes you fall in love with each and every character the way soa does this show is filled with brilliant casting complex and 3 dimensional characters abound its about a biker club money deals other deals backstabbing betrayal vengeance love hate family brotherhood loyalty dishonesty corruption gang fights gun fight explosion abuse this show has a little bit of everything thats what makes it a bloody masterpiece and always re watchable kurt sutter you sir are a genius
Explicit_E_Violence Yeah they were, Bobby, Tig and Juice have always been credited as main characters and have had major storylines, dialogue, etc. Happy is a supporting character, never really gets to say or do much. I'm just about finished season 6 and he still hasn't done much. Theo Rossi, Kim Coates and Mark Boone Junior are always named in the opening credits with the SOA music and the likes of Charlie Hunnam and Ron Pearlman, I'm not sure of the actors name who plays Happy, think it's Mark something, but he doesn't get credited there along with the others, therefore he wasn't a main character, or even a special guest star like Roosevelt, Nero, Wendy, etc. He's a supporting actor. looking at season 7, he's a main character, but this is 5 sp he isn't.
Just began watching "Sons" a few weeks ago. I binge watch on my days off. Love the show. Can't believe this interview occurred three years ago. Just now catching up. Great cast. Found out Jax was English last week. Wanted to hear him speak in his normal accent.
Opie was a lousy husband to his second AND first wife, lousy father to his son and daughter, lousy son to his dad and mum, lousy friend to Jax, lousy club member. being arrested and imprisoned for someone else's mistake, and lousy hero, allowing himself to be killed when he had children dependent upon him and a wife that loved him. Why so many people hero worship the fool is a mystery to.me.
Steve Osborne only thing I thought sucked was Jax side chicks. never liked the cadting of any of them. the last side chick street hooked was good though.
I love Charlie and Ryan!!! They are the embodiments of real men. Not only in the show but outside it as well. At least to my mind. Id love to see them together on the screen again.
Oh dear. Jax and Opie are my least favourite characters. They aren't real men. Clay, Tig, Bobby, Unser, are much more admirable characters. Much more real and like good men should be. Yes they are flawed, but Jax and Opie are embarrassments to manhood.
daniel Irl definitely my two faves. Loved seeing Kim Coates acting in the Marcus Pope season. Omg. He was was right Tig was off the leash. Got to see so much acting. Especially with his daughter scene. And then the end of the season. Chibs. So many great seasons. Like with Jimmy O Then the last season and the weight coming down on him. Great actors.
We just finished watching it through the lockdown, every night 2/3 episodes! Loved it & gutted it's over & have to watch again! All characters were amazing, storylines really believable & great job by all actors!👏👏👏 best tv series ever!
@@Maplelust that is very true, always likeable and much less frustrating than the other characters.. I also like how often his facial expressions say so much, and he is often empathetic I find.. Tommy has very expressive eyes especially.
I only started this show a few days ago and I'm already addicted to it. I'm only on episode six of season one and I can already tell I'm going to love it. What has my friend got me into
I always heard about this show as a teen and now I’m 25 and finally gave it a shot and I absolutely loved it. Some points were a little corny , or boring , but overall I loved the story and the characters and I’m sad we never got a sequel series. Definitely in the top 5 shows I’ve seen so far in life.
I miss this show😢 they need to make one with Abel taking over SONS. I love the Mayans but it’s not the same feeling I have when I watch Sons of Anarchy. I watch this show over n over again.
That wont happen the whole point of the end of the last season getting wendy and nico to take the boys jacks didnt want his boys having anything to do with SAMCRO
@@CharlesVanexX i would love a carry on for sons but Kurt wrote it that way thats the way he wanted it. Im just glad ive got every season on my hard drive, must have watched them a million times
I don't think I have ever watched a show this good in my life time.. I think Jax is one of the hottest guys I have ever seen. And Tommy he is a handsome guy to.. I loved the part Katey Sagal played to it would not have been the same without her that's for sure.. I hated for it to end you all was amazing everyone of you I bought all the seasons and I have watched them many times I will never get tired of this one ever...
I recently have started watching this TV series and I can honestly say that from the very first episode I was hooked,I just finished the series last night actually and balled my eyes out when jaxs lost his life,I can honestly say that this was and is the best TV series I have ever watched and I hope they do a prequel,I laughed, I cried, awesome, great acting, great characters.
I’ve rewatched those show over 15 times (not exaggerating). It’s by far my favorite show I’ve ever watched, and am currently watching it now. I wish this was all real and I could befriend everyone lol
Girl same!! Ok 5 lol but I had to stop recently at the start of season 6 cause I just couldn’t relive the heartbreak. It broke me seeing Jax and Tara become distant. The desperation of a mother to protect her children. Her death. Everyone who suffered 😭💔….I need time to recover lol. What was your fave season?
I love this show and miss it very much . I watched every episode , even a second time on Sundays when they would rerun the episode for that week . I watched every season and then bought the whole series . So creative on Kurt's part and very talented , dedicated cast . Everything they put into it was so convincing , believable and heart felt . From the supporting cast and actors that aren't on most cast interviews and or don't get the credit , every single character played their roles to a tee . Along with the soundtrack of every season . The writers , set designers , editors , producers , ECT... Everyone who played a part to make this show work is amazing . I have not found a series close to the excellence and perfection of this one . Lots of memories , good and bad . Lots of laughs and tears and satisfaction packed in every episode .
It's not even an English Geordie accent (he was born in Newcastle, England)..it's definitely "Americanised". If you hear him in Queer As Folk, his accent is completely different
@@linoixoxo I think it's because he is saying Hollywood isn't a good place, it's dirty filled with power hungry greedy, pedo's with agenda's and you're lucky to not get shit on you.
These actors put their souls into this great story. And thats why is this amazing story ( for sure its not only "good serial") with amazing characters, and i was deeply involved almost swallowed by this story... Became LEGENDARY... Great job from stuff around too, especcially thanks to Kurt Sutter for leading this.
It is, I was watching bloopers and the producers had to keep bringing them joints each time they messed up and Katey, the one who plays Gemma, said, "By the end of this scene we'll be taken out on a hospital stretcher."
stargirl I saw that same blooper scene, but Interpreted it different. The scene was Gemma sitting next to unser sparking one up. They kept messing up, so a new “joint” had to be lit, they threw the other ones out from the previous scene. No one, would ever throw 4-5 joints into water with real weed. Oh and on top of the fact weed wasn’t legal in California at the time of SOA filming. I’m sure the set was crawling with cops for security. So there’s that too haha. Plus I don’t think anyone, no matter how we’re friendly they are, would allow their workers or in this case actors be under the influence. Unless it really played into the character, but I even doubt that.
@@stargirl3783 its not real lmao that was a joke, it was highly illegal to do something like that back then. The cigs and joints are fake, its just harmless herbs that do nothing. Just like when people do coke in movies theyre just snorting vitamin D powder because you can snort a ton and be totally fine
I have to say I just now in the last 25 days. I watched the show from start to finish.. I personally fell in love with the complete staff. Ever actor. They have made me feel like a family member..
***** It's not 'cause I can't find the last episode, it's just 'cause I can't watch Jax's death, I know how he dies and stuff, but that's too sucks to watch him dying.
I know this is an old post but I just wanted to comment to say I really think you would do OK watching it. I thought I would be the same way. I told my husband "you can play it in the same room as me but I'm not watching it." Eventually after about 10 minutes of me trying to ignore it I got sucked in, it is SOA after all. I promise you there is nothing graphic to see and without giving it away with spoilers you don't see his actual death or him dying. It's really not that bad. I thought I would be a bawling crying baby over it but I was fine. :)
watched this series three times , can't get enough of it, Brilliant, I don't usually like the amount of violence in it but, it was all part of the series. All actors did a fine job and no doubt in a few months will be viewing it again. Long live The Sons of Anarchy.
What about Zobel? The very only one who avoid SOA revenge from all of those that massed with them up. This is the only point, still open for eventual continuation.
Anyone else impressed with how Kurt dodged the “homeless woman” question…the fact that it was the woman who was killed during John Tellers accident was mind blowing the first time I watched SoA.
@@bekeneel think back to when the young girl damaged Jax bike when they were in town. They tracked her back to her father and they talked to him about it. The young girl hated the SAMCRO because when JT died he accidentally killed that girls mother. When Jax looked at the picture it looked exactly like the homeless woman
What the fuck is people's problem with Brand? He is polite, gives compliments freely, keeps himself out of it, actually knows about the show and what's going on, listens to people's answers and helps them out when they get tangled up in them, let's them talk, actually gets answers to the questions asked out of them and I honestly find him quite charming. And Flanagan was being much more of a dick than Brand.
