Sons of Anarchy stars Charlie Hunnam, David Labrava, and Ryan Hurst gave a panel at Steel City Con December 2022 to talk about the show, their experiences, and to answer fan questions.
Charlie Hunnam played Jackson “Jax” Teller on Sons of Anarchy but is also known for his roles in Pacific Rim, Children of Men, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Gentlemen, Jungleland, Deadfall, and many more.
David Labrava was Happy Lowman in Sons of Anarchy and is also known for roles in Street Level, Lucifer, Hunter’s Moon, Shadows, and in Mayans M.C., where he reprises his SOA role.
Ryan Hurst portrayed Harry “Opie” Winston in Sons of Anarchy and is known as well for his roles in The Walking Dead, Bosch, God of War: Ragnarok, S.W.A.T., Bates Motel, Outsiders, and more.

When charlie talks about the grief afterward like legit that was exactly how i felt after that show ended. I watched the show live started it as a kid and finished it as a young adult. This show will always be one of my favorites of all time.

same. I remember finishing the last episode and just sitting there just in complete silence like, now what do I do. Been with those characters for seven years and then they were just gone. Never felt that way about any other show before.

@@Justb99xboxI was the same, I’ve watched it through about 3-4 times and I feel so empty every time I finish it. It’s one of those series where you become so invested in the characters and it feels so real. I think it will always be my favourite series.

Mayans MC was good up thru season 3. They've really rushed season 4 and 5. Almost like the writers lost all creativity and don't care about the storylines or the audience anymore. You can tell not having Kurt Sutter really damaged a potentially great show.

All these years later and I am STILL sad about Opie dying. Of all tv character deaths that I have seen in my lifetime, his hurt the most. I cried like I lost a loved one. SoA will forever be one of my favorite shows, that's for damn sure!

Specifically because i'm reading your comment first. I'll be the first to tell you online , I never watched the show until the third season live. When it got to the fifth season, I literally stop watching the next two episodes after watching opie died.

@@drlommis5176 Can't say I blame you. While I love the show, a big part of me also wanted to quit watching when Opie died. The show was never the same after his death. I just felt almost like a loyalty to the show, it's the only reason I ever finished it. I fully admit I was ready to tune out after Opie was killed off.

Cast and crew, writers and directors across the board of SOA were phenomenal. I put it right up there with the Sopranos. Thanks for the suspense just waiting for the next episode. Always kept me on the edge of my seat .

I’m with you the wire is hands down the best show ever. Game of thrones would be my number two. Sopranos, breaking bad, sons of anarchy are masterpieces that are on about the same level imo somewhere in the 10-15 range. All are far better than peaky blinders but peaky blinders is still very good as well

I almost feel like it is overrated. It's mostly just mindless entertainment and hot men. The writing is subpar, so it a lot of the acting (I don't think the girl who played Opie's second wife was even awake and conscious and Gemma was Peg Bundy in leather pants), and it couldn't solve a plot line to save it's life.

Luv those guys. I met DL before I had really started watching SOA while I was working out/boxing. His bro I worked out with was teasing me. He knew I didn't know who DL was & barely had watched the show. He was yelling "DL Shalom said she doesn't like your show". I was shhhing him & turning red saying "I didn't say that".

I have to say, this is like finding a small goldmine, 'cuz as much as I loved the show and the ENTIRE cast...these 3 guys, Hap', Jackie-Boy and Op'...were my favorite characters, with Tig and Chibs following close behind. But yea, these 3 guys, were MY GUYS.

For me it's jax happy and chibs I loved Opie but sometimes he wasnt 100 percent focused on the task. Didn't go through w plans. and was whiney at times. Hap and chibs had jaxes back no matter what. Obviously he loved Opie more because that was his brother but I got a friend I grew up with like that I love him more than anyone but when shit hits the fan. He will always hide behind Me lol in a nonchalant way

I watched it twice the first in 2014...I had to wait for it to be finished because of the year long wait. It was awesome watching 7 seasons at once and not going to lie when Gemma killed Tara I was Shock. I wanted my mom to watch it because she was actually a really close friend with a Motorcycle Club and worked as there engraver in a trophy store. She is the only trusted person in the country to keep the logo private. To this day she hasn't shown me. Then I finally got her to watch it and she was obsessed. When someone ratted she would make the evil eye....lol I knew she would like it. I did hear that they might be coming back. That would be awesome! Happy Holidays Christine :)

Always the same questions... I'm getting tired for them, what a waste of their time. I wanna hear Charlie about his own view on Jax/Tara teenage relationship, how he pictures it and how he thinks it all started as they have such opposed personnalities. And how it was with Gemma back then... In fact, it'd be nice to hear him about his relationship with Gemma, so twisted and how he played it knowing Katey's Kurt wife also, so he just can't mess it...

That is insane that Charlie just said that I felt the exact same way back while the show was going on there were two separate halves there was the Jacks before Opie died who actually gave a s*** and the Jacks after Opie died who didn't care anymore this is just my opinion Lots May disagree but I believe the first four seasons and half of the 5th season where the best parts of Sons of Anarchy I was not as big of a fan of the 6th and 7th season I still loved it but if I go back and pop in a Blu-ray it probably won't be the 6th or 7th season

DL was a real MC biker too! And Charlie was all over MM since he was featured in the finale season; the guy's a satanist who allegedly beat up his girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood... Meanwhile, Sutter give us moral lectures on guns and politics as if the whole Hollywood wasn't a corrupted place full of p*d*s! Don't try to find any sense, just know that the entertainment industry is kinda a big cesspool...

I cried 😢 Multiple times throughout SOA I was balling at the end! I was so depressed for months! I reproduce Jax's Kutte! Took me 3 weeks to sew it all together! I had all the patches custom made! I wear that Kutte every day since the first time I seen the last episode of Son's to the end! At 1st I wasn't going to wear it, then I seen the last episode and that went out the window I've made another one since then and all I get is complements! How much people loved that show! It took me a while to get over the ending! I didn't want it to end! I actually just had to rewatch it again! I do at least every 3 month I torture myself because I can't let it go! Some people don't get how much it moved me in a way nothing has ever come close to this! I've spent 600+dollars on the Kuttes! About 300+each but it's well worth it! 💯% everything I own is SOA! And I mean everything!! 😱 Yeah I might be obsessed a bit! 😂 But I love them all!

I'm watching it for the first time now and the only time i've felt actually sad was when Jax found Tara dead. Seasons 4, 5 and 6 have been such unrelenting bloodbaths full of betrayal and violence i find it difficult to relate to any of these animals. I simply cannot wait till Gemma eats a bullet and Jax needs one too. (i know how it ends)
