Even Germany, Japan, France, Italy, China now do not hold linguistic requirements for studying or working there because they now have realized that using English doesn't decrease their national pride, instead increases their national treasury. Now as a nation if we plan to move backwards instead of forward, then we can have all these debates and discussion regarding language. Funny thing is, most people who say that Hindi should be the national language, do not even read any literature in Hindi. I met a very few Hindi speaking people who actually never read Dinkar ji's or Munshi Premchand ji's works, let alone contemporary Hindi literature but say Hindi should be the national language.
I think you've answered your own question , just like you said that english is important to use it's used widely across the world , just like hindi is widely spoken across the india , you can't communicate in india without Hindi cuz being most common language in india, for any work & purposes an individual needa learn Hindi just you gave justification for the use of english language
@@thegreatestdemon1288 No. Hindi is not spoken if you move to southern states also NE. I belong from NE and staying in South for last few years. Just because you live in a small cocoon doesn't mean that's the entire world. Also, if I have to communicate to someone who doesn't want to accept Hindi why should I force them to use a language that I know or prefer? I can either use an alternative language, or learn their language or even simpler, use a translation voice recognition app.
@@Pritam_K_Chakraborty The irony is the most loved sport in India is of UK origin, the richest Cricket board is BCCI, the most popular domestic cricket league is IPL. And still these people have a problem with English.
I love the situations when two people (not knowing each other's language) try to speak with their hand gestures, signs. That's the moment when they struggle and try their best to get connect with each other irrespective of the language. That's the moment when they laugh on each other and try to get connect. Hindi or other regional language should not be inforced on others. Like when North Indian visits South India and vice-versa, they should try to get connect through the hearts. Of course, language is a barrier. But it can be overcome by learning each other language and giving respect to each other
Nation building done without any national language. It's been around 75 years of independence and India has reached to a stage where Powerful country like Russia, America listen to us. All these days we never find the necessity of National language. Let it be same.... We have got thousands of language... No one is great...
Not national language but a bridge language will definitely bring us closer. I personally feel Sanskrit should be bridge language, but hindi is also fine as it is widely understood. I don't understand why people go against any language. Languages are for communication as rightly said by Sonu Sir, not for building community.
@@aniruddhasajja9561 She has point though. Every damn Asian Power Houses has it's own language that's what make it unique. May be it China or Korea or maybe Japan for example. Now don't tell me that they have one language and India got many. Over the period of time or after 100 years, everything will settled down. If everyone ready to accept one common language along with mother tongue then it's really great to nation. Common language shouldn't divide but must unite us.... I'm against any imposition but if everyone is ready then good for us
@@deepakmeenepu933 We already have Hindi as the de-facto/unofficial majority language. Only two Indian states don't teach it - Tripura and Tamil Nadu. Don't ignore the rest of 26 states who do teach it and hence, Hindi at least exists there, even if it's not a much used language there. The point is, we don't need to put Hindi down as national language on paper, because with that there would be too much burden on some states. And let's not make English our national language either. We should let this space remain where if a natural majority arises, cool...but if it doesn't, then our respective mother tongues remain our top priority as always.
As a tamilian who can speak Hindi very well. I agree.. But what I can say is, thanks to globalization lot of our friends are from north and so we are getting used to passively listening and learning Hindi all the time. That is good enough, I am always around hindi ppl and they speak in hind because I understand them 95% of the time, if we achieve this level of unity in country, then its golden !
This was needed... If people(it can be anyone irrespective of where they belong) make controversies for their own benifit and divide people then other people must come forward to counter it with right facts and unite everyone..
As a Pakistani it hurts me that you guys are fighting over languages jab k dunya may aur problems bhi bhut hain. Stay strong and united. Jis ki jo language hai wo wahi bolay. Here in Pakistan we speak Urdu while we are in Punjab aur someone jaha humari mother tongue koi nahi samjta otherwise in our particular regions like in Balochistan we speak Pashto and Balochi, in Gilgit, Balti and Shina, in Sindh, Sindhi and same in other regions. So be united and make one beautiful India. Love and prayers from Pakistan ❤🙏🏻
Haha You pakistanis should 1st go and read some history about your own country specially why Bangladesh (east Pakistan) was separated from todays pak. The main reason was frequent clashes between urdu speaking and bangla speaking people in east Pakistan. Imagine your own country broke into pieces due language diversity but you feel sad about some other country. Begani shadi me abdullah diwana🤣
i respect this man 🤩 for his respect towards all other languages. this is what we all (non-speakers) trying to convey from so many year , he asked every single question which were in my heart 😅❤️
Agree with everything he mentioned. Very sensible way to convey a point. I just want to correct a sentence there. Tamil is not the oldest language. Tamil is the oldest language still in use.
People sometimes forget that they are a part of a diverse country so they tend to find differences and because of that few people want their own nation creating disturbance in india..you are Indian and your language religion or etc..is also a part of whole nation..
This idea of one language will not work well in India. We will have to acknowledge the fact that diversity is our true identity this is what makes us so much different form other civilization, and as a responsible citizen we must try preserve this uniqueness and we must embrace our diversity.
Being a Punjabi and Hindi speaker I agree that Hindi should not be our National Language. But the way we respect other languages the same respect should be given to our languages as well (including Hindi). Recently a Tamil Nadu Education minister has told that "Hindi Speakers sell pani-puri". What is this? I hope TN people should understand that their Education system is not in Good Hands now. They will keep on Feeding the Kids with this type of ideology.
Itni diverse country mae koi national language nahi honi chahiye. There is no national language in India. Respect everyone, every language, every community to stay united and don't fight among ourselves..
But there is should be a language to unite us all. And that language shouldn't be a European one. A language that isn't even Indian. So naturally, that language should be Hindi.
@@spacemann1425 what language has to do, to unite us? We have been united for more than the life that you have seen. Only now we r divided by speaking about a language to unite us.

That's correct. Sanskrit and Tamil are the oldest languages of the world. We should not try to dominate over language because it doesn't make any sense. We are a civilization with hundreds of languages.
Nation first, everything is second. I support the diversity in our country. It is what makes us unique. No other country is as diverse and vibrant as India is so let us just accept the fact that we are beautiful the way we are. Jai Hind Jai Bharat!
