Considering this as my all around lens, 1 normally used prime lens 24 GM, 35Z 2.8, 55Z 1.8 and a 90 G. I am thinking of this or the 24-240 Sony as I also need a longer focal length . Sold a 70-300 G few years and never bought a replacement. Thanks btw.
Hi, I was thinking of getting this for my A7c as well. Please can you tell me how you find using it? I was worried that it would be too big for this camera due to its compact size. Thank you 😃
Hi I'm planning to get an A7C and this lens for my all-purpose duo, is there anything you could tell about the experience of using them together? Anything would be helpful, thanks in advance!
It takes a getting used to. As a workhorse yes I can lean on it. As a daily driver for a camera on the go for a full day as a hobby… I won’t. Id prefer lighter primes instead
Yeah it would have been awesome if it’s a 2.8 this would have cost an arm to acquire. I used the 24 to 70 f2.8 and it’s adequate for most cases but not enough zoom for events and sports.
Thanks for passing by. On the wide side the oss on this lens is really helpful specially if you have steady hands and not shooting like a wildman. As you zoom in its still decent and will still be better than 3rd party lenses. The sweet spot would be 24 to 35 for all oss lenses anything beyond would require external stabilization like a gimbal or a tripod if you really require buttery smooth movements
