I've been wondering if there was a way to turn off that beeping! Thank you so much for all your tips and tricks, they have helped me so much! Also, the ending/bloopers had me dying of laughter! 😂😂
I can't remember if you said it or not, however if you go to the menu into the first tab (camera icon) on the fourth page you will find a setting named white balance. You can click it if your in manual-mode. Click on it and go to the bottom, there is a setting named user-setup or something. Now photograph(/circle in the scrollwheel) a white piece of paper and the camera auto set up the white-balance for you. It also creates a new white balance option over the "auto set up option" :) PS: I didn't know that you can delete multiple photos at once. Nice!
Many thanks for continuing to support the a6000. Other channels have focus more on the newer models. I just don't see myself buying a new body when I would rather get better glass. I did not know about the scroll option in the FN screen, awesome Tip! Take care from near by Deptford NJ and happy holidays.
@@rrowan327 I used to live n Philly during the daily vlogs. I now live outside of Philly in PA. BUT, I am a Jersey native. Born in Camden, lived in Deptford most of my life. Went to Gloucester Catholic lol. You can take the boy outta Jersey, but not the Jersey outta the boy!
I always enjoy your videos. Now here is a new challenge for you. I am attempting to use my Sony a6000 to copy 35mm negatives. IPad can be a light source and I have a tripod and negative holder but I need an E macro lens. Do you think the affordable Sony 30mm f/3.5 macro would let the camera get close enough to fill the frame and focus on film grain? Sorry for the hard question but I know you are up for the challenge. Thanks.
The 30mm macro is a fantastic lens, but as far as filling the entire frame I’m not sure I know what you mean. I’m not sure you’d be able to shoot super close and have the entire frame in focus, possibly with a high F stop. I’ve heard good things about that macro lens. You can also checkout the Meike macro adapters. I have a video on those!
Hey Kyle, can you make a video tips on how to transfer raw file from camera to phone? Latest sony app can only transfer JPEG but can transfer JPEG file with a size of 5MB when you set the image size to original in the app. Thanks!
Darn! I was really wondering how the heck I could delete multiple pictures at the time! And it was so easy! I should scroll the menus with more attention! XD Thanks!
Great tips! Can you make a video on the best options to put in your fn button? I can see that you have changed a lot from the original in this video but it is hard to tell what you have changed them to.
I'd suggest changing to what you use the most. I actually don't even need both rows filled. I find myself using jpeg/raw, AWB (auto white balance), focus area, and focus mode the most. The others are for "just in case". 👍🏻
There’s a limit to low light with an APSC camera. But some tips - low aperture (1.4), as slow of a shutter as you can (assuming you’re in manual mode), and keep the iso under 1600. The real key, is can you introduce artificial light, then do that. Of course that depends on the shoot.
Use Image Edge Mobile app. If you have the only Sony play memories app it won’t work. Also when the iPhone 11 came out there were issues. However I think everything is resolved now. Not 100% sure on that.
I second this! I've had mine for 3 years and never tried to learn it. Now I know so much, it makes me feel a lot better about myself because I was questioning whether I am even a photographer for the longest time. A6000 is my favorite, thank you so much!
Hi Kyle, so useful tips. Thanks so much for that.I also want to learn the meanings of some symbols/icons on the LCD of a6000.Of course we know the base setting's icon meanings(like base-cam settings) but some are not so familiar to us, like a shaky hand-camera icon just under the 24MP line.I mean why i do have that icon(even i dont hold the camera in my hand), how to avoid from that kind of warnings and so on?And what are the meanings of other similar not-always-seen icons? Thank you. Also another thank you for your all reviews for this camera.Because now i'm holding a brand new a6000(16-50/55-210 lenses) in my hands that i purchased just 2 days ago(i'm more into the bird-wildlife photography on a budget) after watching all of your videos and i already have a ton of knowledge about this great piece of tech. Anoter que: Do you recommend to install that well known non-sony-timelapse-intervelometer app to an a6000 with the latest firmware(i like to make timelapses too)?
I have never used the time lapse app, but I’d say it’s ok if it’s got a ton of reviews. Also the hand icon - is to show you that the shutter speed may be too slow and camera shake could be caused due to the light available and the shutter speed set. As for other icons, I’d have to see them or have them described to me to tell ya!
After all these years the a6000 is still in production... Still one of the best entry level cameras out there, you can even do some professional work with it! going into 2020...paired with the Sigma trio... The Sigma 16mm 1.4 and the Sony 18-105mm and the kit lens it's a totally capable camera
Gonna do more types of photography videos. Also, I love the M50. So videos on that. Lens reviews. Also thinking about getting the 6400 or Canon RP. 🙌🏻😬
That Impression at the end 😂 I literally do that Impression about 3 times a day 😂 great video thank you for enabling me to be lazy and find new stuff about my camera with minimal effort !
5,000+ views says otherwise, including yours. Not to mention it being on display at Best Buy across the United States. Also it being high in the Japan sales metrics each quarter. BUT, you have a right to your opinion, but the facts state otherwise.
I wasn't sure on which video (or even platform) I could ask this question. So I figured I would post it here. You may have already answered this question in another video, or you may not know the answer (which is okay too), but you know when you send your pictures from your camera to the Image mobile app (if you're using Sony) how do I keep my images in RAW? In my camera settings, I have it where it takes as RAW, but when I transfer the images, the are saved as a JEPEG. How do I keep that from happening? I hope I made sense.
You can’t send the RAW images wirelessly. The process converts them to jpg. The RAW will still be on your memory card. I use an iPhone and I use a lightning to ad card adapter and transfer that way. When I’m not making a huge deal about quality, and know it’s just gonna life on the gram, I use the wifi transfer. 👍🏻
@@kyletaggart lol you're much welcome! I gotta get a lens cover so I can finally feel okay about taking the cam out with me more. This thing is amazing for a $15 camera :) only thing is it seems to go through batteries quickly, but I'm not gonna complain at $15 bucks hahaha I should make a video on how I found the camera thrifting
The 6400 is much better overall. More features, better internals, more sturdy body. However the a6000 will match its photo quality except colors straight out of camera.
