I watched this about a year ago when I was frantically trying to learn as much as I could about the A7iii. I can happily say I am now rewatching after finally being able to take one home!
I've had this video on "watch later" for the longest time. Finally got my a7III yesterday and am so thankful for this video!!! You rock Jason Vong!!!!!!!
Jason I have referred to your video at least 2 dozen times...funny if you don't use these cameras constantly (I'm just a hobbiest photographer) you forget..if you are starting from zero these cameras can be a challenge..You have done the best job of showing how work the memory or quick function keys. When I started I had missed the dial control features and the relationship to the function keys. You and Tony Northrup are my favourites for how to tutorials...thanks a lot and continued success....
I'm going to be getting the A7III very soon, and I watch this video almost twice a week in anticipation! I'm so excited for it, and your channel does nothing but make me even 10x more excited to use this beautiful camera.
omg this video was a godsend. I purchased my A7III in Japan and obviously couldn't change to English. I can read Japanese but not fantastically, between that and following this video I now have my camera running oh so perfectly. Jason my man you are the bomb
Second time I watch this, and won't be the last... Thank you so much for your efforts...Not boring at all! Just (finally) got my a7 III today (another Canon user charmed). This and other Sony a7 III walkthrough videos you made are so very valuable! Thanks a bunch again got yourself a new subbed fan
Jason you have no idea how helpful this is . I've been looking at the video for the las 3 hrs understanding. I'm tired. Yesterday just got my Sony a7iii and the 85 GM 1.4 . I'm new on Sony. Thank you . Greetings from LA.
Thank you Jason for an excellent tutorial. I just received my A7iii yesterday afternoon and the batteries are all charged up this morning so I’m ready to rock n’ roll. I’ve watched this twice so far, and will now do an in depth “watch and stop” to get my settings done correctly. Really really really appreciate you taking the time to do this! You’re awesome!
Jason, thank you SO MUCH for this in-depth tutorial. I just got my Sony A7 III and this is my first time to the Sony system. This video has helped me tremendously and it is really one of its kind on RU-vid right now. I hope Sony recognizes your effort and rewards you properly. Your videos on the Sony mirrorless system is some of the best on RU-vid. Keep it up!!! Thanks again!!!
Probably the longest video I watched on RU-vid but certainly the most informative. I did feel that you skipped a couple of bits there because you were exhausted but definitely deserve a shoutout. Well Done!
gotta give some props to you jason for putting together such a thorough setting setup, i can tell u put alot of effort and for that, im going to give u 3 likes
I made it to the 15:35 min mark and yes I'm still enjoying it. Following most of your recommendations to setup my A7iii. Will come back and watch rest of video later. Thanks!
Just received a shipping confirmation on my A7 III a couple of hours ago so this is super helpful to brush up on while I wait for the camera to get here. Also, as a RU-vidr myself, I know this had to be pretty painstaking to film AND edit, so thank you for taking the time to do this!
Thank you for this! it really HELPS with going through the menu, giving examples, and adding Video sample in during your explanation. I know this must have taken a while, it's very appreciative, thank you.
Thank you for creating an informative step-by-step video with commentary about the rationale behind particular setting choices for various situations. Without your tutorial I would have been very overwhelmed. Thank you for breaking this down for us novice filmmakers! While the tutorial may have been exhausting to complete, it has been extremely beneficial! Great job!
so much help full info in the video u r a beast in explaining every small details for whom are planing to switching to Sony Really Helpful. thanks a lot
I bought a a7 III and im planning to get into photography. So im watching this for some tips right after I watched your zenith el primero chronomaster 1969 video and I find you in the comments LUL
Seriously the BEST setup guide I've viewed yet! I appreciate your explanation of what am option is, and why/why not you might use it. Other videos I've seen are just "Here are my settings". This was 100% worth 44 minutes! Thank you!!!
Hands down most informative video I’ve found! Exactly what I’ve been looking for since buying my a7iii. I was lost in all the settings and menus before this. Thanks a million!
Can’t thank you more! Just got my a7 iii and followed through the video. Sony should definitely pay you for cutting the cost of a paper version manual in the box.
Just bought the A7iii and this was the perfect video to help me get setup as this is my first Sony camera, coming from Canon lol. Thanks a lot mate, really loved the video.
Thank you so much for this. I just got my a7 III - it's my first mirrorless, my first Sony and my first video camera. I was crazy confused when I switched it on and now I'm only a bit confused thanks to your marathon video. I may end up coming back to it too - great work!
You seem to be a bit insecure if you are saying things right, and trust me , it makes perfect sense! Look at this way, if people are not serious it won't matter what you say or how good of info you give, but if people are serious about learning, and these are the ones YOU want, then you will have no need to worry, Your really helping me alot thank you!
Jason... "THANK YOU SO MUCH" for this video. As a hobby camera shooter, I found your video very useful. I just bought a Sony A7R3, and the setup has so many features, that sometimes I was getting confused. You took your time explaining as you went along in the setup process that you made it very easy for shooters like me to understand what each feature meant. Yes, it was long, but I watched from beginning to end. Yes it was long but for me it was a "MUST WATCH" video. You are the best. Keep these videos coming, because it does help people like me to make shooting with a professional camera body so much easier to use. Again thanks.
Thanks so much for this video, I have been following your channel for a while and I most said thanks because you have give a lot of your time to helps other people with your tips and experience with the cameras and of course you have help me a lot too.
Very helpful video! After over a decade with Nikon, I have picked up the Sony A73. Liking it so far, but all the options are taking some serious getting used to.
Just watched this whole video. This was very informative. I just received my A7iii and Tamron 28-75 lens. I appreciate the time you put into this tutorial. Thank you bro!
excellent guide. i just received my A7iii. coming from Panasonic GH5, your video accelerate my learning curve on set up for videos with this camera. the sony manual that come in the box is useless! thank you!
You should do this for the new A7C. I used a lot of your settings for the A7III and was wondering if you did much different with the menus since we lose a lot of quick buttons.
YES, I made it to 15:38, TWICE! I had a rental camera to set up, I liked the camera so much, I bought my own. So guess what, I have to do it all over again!
