Im right there where you were @ one year ago. Just had a deal for around the same amount and I’m not quite sure if it’s the 100 percentage right decision. How is your experience with the camera?
If you are looking for a photo centric full frame camera , this one provides great bang for your buck , particularly if you are willing to buy used . For the money , I can't think of a camera that beats it for features , performance , and the available lenses . I am an enthusiast on a budget and I am seriously considering ditching my Canon dslrs for one .
I think you missed mentioning an important point -- that there is no gyro-based stabilization in A7iii that can potentially eliminate the need for using gimbal. If you need that, you would have to consider A7C or A7iv or a APSC camera like ZV-E10.
This is true, however, the stabilization is very powerful regardless. I found that I could shoot handheld in MANY situations and end up with incredibly smooth footage.
As someone who’s interested in upgrading from A6100 APS-C sensor camera to A7 III, was the shutter fail rate common and is it present in recently produced examples of the A7 III? I’m interested in buying as I can get one for a very good price very lightly used (5000 shutter count)
Great review of a slightly older body in 2023! I'm looking to replace my old Pentax K20d and Sony G7X with a full frame that I can take hill running and also shoot dogs in the outdoors with. I had been swaying towards the A7iv, and also the new Lumix S5ii, but the A7iii is so appealing and the money saved on the body could go towards higher quality glass. Weather sealing is important to me as well.
Hello sir Thanks for the video. I am confused between 2 cameras. Canon R8 and Sony a7iii. Canon R8 is available for $1210 and sony for $1475. Which one do you suggest? & why? I need All tine Best camera.
The R7 is a really great camera with amazing specs, however, it is a cropped-sensor camera. I have a video breaking down cropped vs. full-frame sensors. If you don't mind this, then it's a fantastic camera. If you prefer full-frame, then the A7III wins the battle every time.
I like the size and you said it's good in low light Also all those focus points seems like it would be good for capturing birds in flight. Has anyone used it for bird photography?
I currently use the a6300. I feel like I want to improve my work. I’ve been looking into this camera. Thanks for this review. It convinced me to look into this camera further
Yes it’s definitely an upgrade. From the display screen to the video recording options, a74 definitely is a bit better than the a73. Both are phenomenal!!
Great video. It’s now December and one is having some great sales on the A7iii. I think it was camera and 28-70 lenses for $1400. Wondering if it will be phased out and this is clearance. Is the autofocus fast enough for catching up with wildlife? I’ve seen some videos saying it is slow.
@@TheUrbanMinimalist was actually $1499. My error. It was the price at all stores that sold Sony. Plus I received Sony adds in Facebook. Was the price through 12/31.
Hey buddy after cracking hell lotta time I came down to two options Canon EOS R and Sony a7iii out of which i made mind for sony but then suddenly my youtube goes nuts about sony's shutter failure. Please throw some light, cant waste my single penny. Purpose: Night clubs, Portraits, Weddings.
Thank you for that all inclusive review Mr.Kellan. I am planning to invest in a Sony A7 iii , with a Sony sel 24-105 f/4 OSS G lens. This is mainly for event photography : few portraits and snippet videos. But I am rethinking my choice due to the iPhone 14 pro max. I have a budget for only one of the two. So could you please suggest which would be a better investment ?
