I have the same lens!! I’ve got a7rii and the autofocus is not great how is it with that lens in particular??? The video “solstice” on my channel is shot with pz lens. Hoping to upgrade to the a7siii
Thinking about this exact camera/lens combination for corporate-style work as well as projects like this. Do you find the powerzoom function of this lens on this small of a camera body works well enough for your type of content? Have you messed with the autofocus much? Curious about your overall thoughts on it.
The power zoom function of the lens is super helpful when zooming while handheld. On a tripod, i prefer to twist the zoom ring. This whole video was shot on autofocus. Autofocus is becoming a skill, with different settings and focus zones. I love using it.
Damn. This is beautiful. Just picked up the a7Siii and I'm only just learning about this lens. While I wish it was at least a 24mm on the wide end, but having the full range to 135 at f4 makes up for it. That said, are you shooting handheld with this beast of a lens?
@@BobbyBils I owned the FX9 and the sonsy a7s II ( 2 ) many, years, its no way this is handheld. I actually own the 28-135 . Its absolutely impossible to NOT get any rotation in the frame, without only handheld, So ! then we can question if anything you say is true at all......

this is not handheld. like you claim. I had this lense many years, I shoot awhole movie with FX9, and owned also a7s II. When you obviously lie about that, This video can also be filmed on another camera. Meaning , this is a fake-video !!
@@heraldocreative4735 my movie is comming out this year .The lense itself is ok, not the best compared to others. If you really aim for the best. But with FX9 its sharp, its parfocal, but only 90 cm min. focal distance. For SDF, the t4, is ok, in filmmaking, but in som situation I probably could have wanted to go "faster" for better light ........My point is, to keep a cam this stedy with NO rotation, is just not possible, In the clips yousee here, they used a gimbale. And that is kind of provaoking, when they claim , its handheld !!
