If your Sony Bravia switches off and flashes the red standby LED 7 times, this video shows why and how to overcome this problem. Ensure mains power is disconnected.
Followed your instructions. Couldn't get the back off our 48" Bravia (now 10 yes old) but managed to get to the part concerned. Cut wires 11 and 12. Working again. Brilliant stuff. Thanks so much for sharing. 👍🏼

Thanks for this fixed our old bravia kdl. Hardest part of the whole thing for me was getting the back of the tv. After that easy had to watch your vid a couple of times to select the right wires. But once I saw that it was the ones at the opposite end to the only white wire, simple.
Please, can you tell me the serial number of the white wire and the wire to be cut? I am understanding that the white wire is the number 2 wire and the wire to be cut is the number 11, right? Thanks.
Year 2022. Bravia 40” KDL40EX700. By following the instructions, I cut the 11’th wire. (White cable is first. Count against this.) The waste TV started to work. Thank you man. God bless you.
Hi @alwaysafix i have a Sony Bravia model KDL 40VE5 and when plug in to AC the Stand by led is red then press power button and red led is off and green led ON few seconds a tic sounds and green led is off then red led is on. Took out the back cover to fix volume problem. Fixed the back cover but now I can not plug HDMI cable as the cover has not gone down completely. The cover doesn’t allow the plug to be fixed. All cover bolts are tight. Can you help?
Anyone know how to fix two blinks on a 2011 Bravia KDL-40EX724? I googled it and it they say it's some over current protection unit that's gone into standby mode.
Love the vids! Challenge: I have a 2012 Bravia KDL-46BX450 and sensor only has 10 cords. Do you suggest I start from the far right and start disconnecting? When I click the power button, the Sony logo comes on then the screen goes black and stays that way. Any suggestion before I recycle my favorite TV would be great!
Great to see your video. I have the same problem with my Sony Bravia TV blinking red light 7 times. Grateful if you could tell me the detail of the wire disconnecting.
@@johnpal9142 I have unplugged both 11 and 12 and it doesn't work, but unplugged the jack is ok, but after that you have to install an application remote tv by smartphone
Hi, I have a Sony Bravia XBR-55X807E, are about 1 minute it blinks 7 times then powers off. I tried removing pins 11 and 12 but it still powers off, can you help?

Hello I watched your RU-vid video sir and I'm very impressed with all your videos I have a Sony Bravia XBR 758 940c and Z I'm getting 4 blinking red light Saturday night I was watching TV and and then on my her to the entertainment still going like the movie was playing when I woke up but the TV was off and I seen where it was blinking for red LEDs underneath the TV screens so I turned it off right away and then I turned the power conditioner off and I repower duck and the TV started back working again and I watch TV from Dad Saturday morning all the way till like Monday morning and then I started watching a movie with a TV screen was going black and then end up program was showing dinner was going black and then all the sudden I figure let me turn it off I unplugged it and then I power power down the power conditioner and I plug it back up and then all the sudden the red blinking light reappeared with
Hi, I have a model KD- 7559000B which is about 7 years old 75 inch great TV but recently flashing 9 times and shutting down, l have cleaned the vents and also have a fan directed at the back of the TV but the shut down is more frequent. Appreciate any tips like removing the back and maybe vacuuming the inside?
I had to unplug the whole jack instead of just cutting some wires, then you could turn on the TV using the power button on the back of the TV, and use an app to control the TV instead of the remote. Note that if hanging on the wall, the vents must be left open on the back of the TV, it is best to put it on the table
I am having the same issue suddenly for last 2 days Tv was off ( not on standby ) from last 10hrs but when I unplug power cord and set top box and re connect power cord tv works fine then I reconnect set top box watch tv for works without any problem
Hello I have a Bravia Sony 2018 it's 65 inch and it keeps turning off and on on its own. I can't do a hard reset because it turns off. I pull wire 11& 12 just in case it was the sensor because I believe it does have to do with power saver. Is there another one I can try to pull ? At this point we are ready to trash it, but, of I can fix it that would be awesome!
I tried everything but it never worked, found this video and tried but still didn't work. After lots of research we decided to put it out for trash. So upset!
i unplugged the 1 and 2 cable and it work but without tv controller (my mistake) then do it with 11 and 12 and i have watch 2 movies since then , thanks master! my tv 55hx800
Brilliant yes it worked . Thank you I had to butcher the back panel to get to the 11th 12th wire but a little tape should make it nearly as good as new😅.
I have a Sony Bravia 65x800g that's giving me 6 blinking lights (LED backlight error code) and, upon taking it apart and testing the backlights, I found that they all seem to work fine. Now I'm not sure if it's a PSU issue or something to do with the tcon.
Hi just tried the removing remote sensor for 4 blinks sadly no success the lamps seem to be struggling before set switches off . Do you advice for 4 blinks? Thanks for sharing
Try disconnecting the backlight error return cabke between motherboard and power supply. 4th wire front wire down from top of block connector on power supply. Ground the free end from the motherboard. 4 lights I think is backlight error code. That or power supply failure.
If you were like me & couldn't even get your TV to boot far enough to do a hard reset, your in trouble. You see, I turned the Back-light (which was failing) from 5 to 7 and the TV instantly shut down & went into an endless boot loop. Well, just get yourself the brightest LED torch you can find & shine it straight into that auto light sensor on the front of the TV at boot up. This sucks the TV into thinking that it is as bright as the sun in your lounge room and it turns down the back-light to 5 automatically at boot up. Once that happens your TV will start & you can then quickly do a hard reset and once that is done go to options & turn the back light down to 4 or leave it set at 5 but no higher. Then turn the brightness up to max or near max & you won't even be able to tell the difference. You TV will work properly for a few months more, but U better start saving for a new one because the back light (or the sensor) is already past its use-by date & it won't last forever.
Different model KDL-43W800C. White screen then backlight turns off (black screen) and 5 red blinks. Cold blower on the sensor slots, bottom center of the TV, to release probably dust particles. Now working fine.

If I remove this piece, can I keep it out? I don’t use a remote with the TV so will it still work okay without putting this back? Not sure if I can do the wire part, but I’ll see!
@@Sang-KTVHN Yes I did! I took the piece out completely and didn’t put it back. It worked fine. The only thing is that the red light (that shows the TV is on) no longer comes on, so just be aware of that. Otherwise no issues, and you can still access all the menu options using the buttons on the TV.
I'm also facing same issue. The indicator under SONY logo started blinking for 5 times and the tv screen turns into some pale white shade and then goes off and the blinking starts. The blinking not going off until I remove the actual plug behind TV. I've updated software and unplugged the other sources(DTH via HDMI, USB). Ive also plugged tv into a different power outlet. It seems like serious issue.
