Very good my friend , i have that same sony cd player , i bought i e new in the box last year and enjoy it very much . I run it throug a tu e buffer pre amp .

But you also know this is not normal what happened! in sum are 4 issues 1st power-cord not correct soldered and isolated! 2nd flex-cable front to motherboard was cut, 3rd Fuse of the +10V interrupted, 4th KSS240a laser-pickup defect low lase light. Maybe if you repair your own then it have only one of this failures! Thank you for your comment! weakbit

Nonono. Swapping entire groups over is "cheating", not "repairing" 😄

transferring something from status not working to status working is a repair per definition
