I'm pretty sure the scalper situation is WAY worse than we've been told. Sony keeps claiming record sales but people keep noticing that NO ONE CAN BUY THEM. These consoles must be collecting dust in scalpers warehouses.
I'm pretty sure it's getting way overblown out of proportion to what they've actually sold to individuals but it makes for clickbait headlines and narratives that fanboys can use to cope with the PS5's success (that's not aimed at you personally BTW mate)
I do wonder if one of the non new IPs is Skyrim... Hodd Toward can't possibly resist the re-release on a new platform. Then again Bethesda is now owned by Microsoft, Sony's direct competitor. Still it's not a new game, and it's already available everywhere else, so why leave money on the table? Maybe? Maybe not? Is that meme not funny anymore?
Bruh Sony funds all types of games people just tend to look at the big ones just look at erica until dawn concrete genie gravity rush Astro bot vr as much as I don’t like a lot of Sony’s practices after the ps5 launched you cannot deny Sony funds all types of games from indies to massive block busters sadly they did close they’re Japan branch tho so idk about the future
I do wonder what would satisfy you guys. When the Bloomberg article dropped saying that 'Sony is only focusing on big blockbuster games'. Everyone acted like they really cared about indie games. Now, Sony comes out and says 'actually, we do care about indie games'. Now you're saying, well three of those indie games have Sony funding, so how can they be indie games? An indie game isn't a denotation of a game's scope. It's an indicator of a game's origin. If it is developed by an independent studio, then yes. It's an indie. Regardless of funding. And no, Sony first party studios are not independent because they are under the parent company of Sony. Take Hades for example. It is an independent game because Supergiant Games is not under the corporate umbrella of any other entity. Rockstar is not independent, that's not because of the scope/production quality/size of the game. That's because they're under Take Two Interactive. Again, it's fine to call this article a nothing burger. And I agree by the way. But that doesn't excuse you from saying ignorant things.
I'm happy to wait for a ps5 slim. When there are more games and the games are cheaper, and all the bugs are ironed out. What you get for your money isn't worth it at the moment.
Wow... asks where the games are for the PS5? I'd love to know what you think of Xbox's lineup then Demon's Souls, Godfall, Spider-Man MM & Remastered, Sackboy, Destruction All Stars, Bug Snax, Returnal. That's the 1st 6 months. With R & C getting ready to drop. With Kena, and HZD later this year. This blew away PS4 and PS3's launch lineups
@@luisroman2144 Okay. And PS has PS Now. Which has more downloadable PS4, and PS2 games than Gamepass has total. For the same cost. PS just doesn't cram it down your throat all day
@@NxtDoc1851 All gamepass games are downloaded not all psnow games are downloaded most still streamed. Gamepas games get boosted on XSX. Psnow games don't get boosted for PS5. Psnow consists of Bc and PS4 games because PS5 doesnt over free BC. Gamepass doesnt need to be crammed with last gen games because XSX has full BC. Gamepass offer $20discount on gamers purchase and also has EA access. Psnow doesnt. Gamepass consists of ALL Xbox 1party plus day 1 big 3rd party games. Psnow.doesnt. Xsx has 20 confirmed and announced games yet to launch. Ps5 has half that.
I'm seeing a distinct difference in the quality of the games and innovation coming from each console manufacturer. Sony's first party can fully utilise the hardware where as Xbox Studios will always have their hands tied by lesser hardware. I've yet to see anything remotely "next-gen" coming from Microsoft. There silence on the game front is a bit strange imo
Your assertion that Sony keep making the same game is nonsense, what about their VR titles and games such as Dreams and Death Stranding, games that wouldn't get that sort of financial backing anywhere else? Sony clearly backs experimental titles as well as big blockbusters but they concentrate mainly on high quality single player games with no BS monitisation attached to them and I hope that never changes
Sony: We have 25 new games coming ! Reality: You mean 25 games over at least 5 or 6 years, maybe more if multiple delays, and maybe half of those games will be cancelled and never heard of. And you haven't even stated if they were crossgen or not.
Yeah, a lot of games (not just Sony's) were announced at PS4 launch and they are nowhere close to release 7 years later . Of course they don't say if it's crossgen, first, they want us to buy the new hardware and second, they don't even know if half of them will release on this generation.
@@odys3803 it's not the article I'm excited about. It's the prospect of something new. I'm bored of the same game over and over again. If we can get new IP’s then it'll freshen things up for me. I'm looking forward for what they have in store for us. What about you?
NEW IPS --- PSVR 2 -- DUALSENSE ----> Who does what for the industry again ? Blame SONY for making NEW IPs under third person action/adventure genre when everyone else making the very same games for generations now ? How many Mario Kart, Smash bros, Gears of War and Halo have you played ? But Sony is to blame for making Horizon and God of war and Ghost of Tsushima instead ?
How do you know? Did they announce anything? Horizon was a new IP and that was great, I would argue the same could be said for Days gone. Kena is a new IP from a third party and that also looks great. Maybe wait and see what they've got before you judge. You can always be negative once you know you are right, doing it now just makes you look like a pessimist.
@@bnice1374 i am playing days gone right now. It’s like a 6/10. Which for a first party AAA game is unacceptably lazy. And frankly if you’re an optimist here, you’re an idiot
@@300IQPrower There is a difference between waiting for details or confirmation and being optimistic; or in your case pessimistic. Regardless Sony's track record over the last few years has been mostly positive. So I say it's injudicious to be pessimistic. As for days gone, there is a reason why I said I would argue that the same could be said about the game. Personally I would give it a 7, it wasn't great but I enjoyed my time with it.
My guess: 25 new games 12 new Ip >6 will be also launch on pc 10 will be on pc by the end of generation 12 old Ip 6 could be also launch on ps4 And all of them would be remaster on ps6 in 2026
