This video is 3 yeRs old. Funny thing is, with depreciation in electronics you would think these cameras are dirt cheap by now. In fact, they've only budged $50 in the 3 years. Crazy.
Great video, since I am trying to decide between the III and IV. The one area that I wish you would have touched on is the "Mode Dials" on top of the cameras, because I noticed that they are different. Thanks, Bob
Hey TheDigitalDigest, I just watched your video and found it very helpful. I also liked the dark scene you chose for the frame and your calm and fluent talking. There is just one thing left to improve: after about 10 minutes you just keept talking about the same video features for the next 10 minutes over and over again. Just for the future ;) still liked your video!
really great vid. Thanks. Yes, I've owned all, 1-4 marks able to sell the old ones prior to the newer acquisitions on ebay for great prices. And please folks watch those misleading ads for warranties, choose ADH and ESP. Seriously, do it, Canopy Best Warranty Amazon.
Thank you for your review! What do you recommend for me? I don't care about filming in 4K, I will just use 1080p. Is the filming quality in 1080p and photo quality of the M3 the same as the M4? And as there a difference between audio and focus speed? Thank you in advance.
Will they bring the MK V this summer? I am going on a year long backpack trip in September and thinking about buying the MK III. Maybe I should wait until August/September?
I just bought online the RXIII ONLINE. I ended up choosing the RXIII because I don't use much videos and i don't feel like there is much difference between them other than video. Also Best Buy offers a great deal package with extra batteries and other accessories you will need for a great price on a RXIII
Does anyone know if the flash can be set in auto when using shutter priority, aperture priority, or manual modes? I know my a6000 flash was only manual in these models which really killed the camera for me
You are a very good speaker. I am not into video although, video is BIG in photography. I do want a Top-Flight point and shoot camera that is high quality, and you sold me, I'm buying the SONY RX-100 M-3. Your words are well spoken, THANK YOU, AP
BTW, The grip is a must and if you have the m2 the thumb grip is must too, Also SONY's LCD protector is the ONLY cover to get. 12.99 again the best retail site Amazon
The rx100m2 vs rx100m3 not only the OLED is added it is a different lens (28-100 f/1.8-4.9 vs 24-70 f/1.8-2.8) and that is what is most important me and many out there
1:59 can it actually record 960fps in 1080p? i've found that "Image quality is nearly Full HD at 240fps, and HD at 480fps in Quality Priority mode" (Sonys website) while 960fps is around SD (i think i've read 1137x387 somewhere)
+robert I don't think you can because inorder to record in 1920x1080 the camera does waky things with the sonsor, you would only get a 1920x1080 pic so they don't bother, where with UHD=8ish MP picture so they offer stills.
+robert Sorry I didn't answer the question quite right, the M3 I don't think you can, the M4 you can take 8MP stills during 4k recording. The video on both the M3 and M4 is very good.
+RasputinReview The camera is more pocketable without it. It does not increase the thickness but the texture sticks when I put the camera in my pants pocket.
For darker colored camera reviews, I feel you should go back to the white table. I think it's easier to see and enjoy. Just sayin. Love your reviews, kept going... Hope you get to 50k subscribers soon!
+capwkidd LX100 has a bigger better sensor but is a larger overall device. Also it has a, up to 75mm lens (little bit longer) and more physical controls but not as good/many video options.
THe mk4 has gone through significant price drops since it's release. MK3 people aren't impressed enough with the features and if you were a provideographer and pulled out a 4k camera without interchangeable lenses in front of your crew........
krisnaive google the size of a 1" sensor found here and compare it to the size of an APSC sensor found in the A6000 and that will answer your question...which in the end you will see was rather silly.
