Sony DSC-RX100IV vs RX100III 

This video is 3 yeRs old. Funny thing is, with depreciation in electronics you would think these cameras are dirt cheap by now. In fact, they've only budged $50 in the 3 years. Crazy.

Great video, since I am trying to decide between the III and IV. The one area that I wish you would have touched on is the "Mode Dials" on top of the cameras, because I noticed that they are different.Thanks, Bob

Hey TheDigitalDigest, I just watched your video and found it very helpful. I also liked the dark scene you chose for the frame and your calm and fluent talking. There is just one thing left to improve: after about 10 minutes you just keept talking about the same video features for the next 10 minutes over and over again. Thank you for your review! What do you recommend for me? I don't care about filming in 4K, I will just use 1080p. Is the filming quality in 1080p and photo quality of the M3 the same as the M4? And as there a difference between audio and focus speed? Thank you in advance.

I just bought online the RXIII ONLINE. I ended up choosing the RXIII because I don't use much videos and i don't feel like there is much difference between them other than video. Also Best Buy offers a great deal package with extra batteries and other accessories you will need for a great price on a RXIII

Does anyone know if the flash can be set in auto when using shutter priority, aperture priority, or manual modes? I know my a6000 flash was only manual in these models which really killed the camera for me

Given the better processor and improved sensor, is the 1080p video on the Mark 4 any better than that on the Mark 3?

as far as recording in low light, is there any noticeable difference?

The rx100m2 vs rx100m3 not only the OLED is added it is a different lens (28-100 f/1.8-4.9 vs 24-70 f/1.8-2.8) and that is what is most important me and many out there

That "selfie screen" ... how big is it? Bigger than 3 inches? Touch screen? How many focus points spreading across the screen?

I hoped they would put a more wide angle lens on it this time tho. But that didn't change.

Can i continuesly record 2 minute clips?

1:59 can it actually record 960fps in 1080p? i've found that "Image quality is nearly Full HD at 240fps, and HD at 480fps in Quality Priority mode" (Sonys website) while 960fps is around SD (i think i've read 1137x387 somewhere)

Can I use the same waterproof diving case for both cameras?

You should mention the slo-mo record is limited to 2 seconds.

I do hope Sony brings the price back down, maybe ditch the M3 or 4 when the 5 comes out... other wise where are we going $1200? $1500? G7 X is $600.

Well Rx100 IV improved af speed. it is noticeable faster af than rx100 III.

THe mk4 has gone through significant price drops since it's release. MK3 people aren't impressed enough with the features and if you were a provideographer and pulled out a 4k camera without interchangeable lenses in front of your crew........

When is Sony bringing the successor of the mighty a6000? is the Mark4 better than the a6000? Can anyone here pls bring some light to my question?
