I bought a Sony SL-C9 off of ebay and the machine did exactly what the seller mentioned. I guess it depends on the seller. But those "untested because I have no tapes" listings are almost always bullshit because the seller probably tested it and it didn't work.
And when it says parts only you know that the parts you need are already picked. Know someone that bought a camera as they needed the pinch roller and ir arrived with the drum and pinch roller already missing.
@@12voltvids Even if the part is there nobody can guarentee it will be good. It's a shot in the dark really. In my opinion the seller of this DVCAM deck should refund the buyer, at least partially.
I think this sound comes from some gear wheel that drives right reel indirectly as it sounds only when doing fast-forward when tape is unloaded from heads drum and capstan.
First the tape is not unloaded from drum. The pinch roller is not engaged but the capstan motor is spinning for some unknown reason as on the model the reels are driven by a separate motor.
Hi friend! I bought a handyman video 8 and I finally got it to work, but the image is all red and blue like it's in negative, also the viewfinder doesn't work, do you have any idea what could be?
Its broken. Will likely be full of leaking caps and trace damage on circuit board. When will everyone earn to stop buying this old crap. Its all bad. The only cameras you should consider is cameras newer than 1997 preferably digital 8 as these don't have the leaky cap issues. Everything made up to 95 has them and even some 96 models. Doesn't matter if they were low end or high end they are all the same. I tell people to stop buying this old sh1t and nobody listens. No I dont fix that old garbage because I don't want to be married to it.
They probably have it these doors just hook on the front and come off easily they are held on with magnets. I have several dsr11 decks and find them great but I do treat them gently
So what you could say there is honest as the days long yeah I haven't had a very good experience of buy especially with tape decks they all say the working when they turn up there's always an issue
Its called an NDA and most film projects have all their workers and contractors sign them. Many years ago I was on the set of the movie "another stakeout" demonstrating a Sony ccdvx3 and steady cam Jr. I was changing tapes back and forth as one of the producers was trying the camera out as they were looking for s small camera for behind the scenes. They took one tape and I pocketed the other one. I had to sign a NDA to get on set forbidding me from talking about it until the film was released. Turns out that an assistant was watching me swap tapes as I was there for several hours on set. When I was leaving he said he better not see that footage on entertainment tonight. I eventually put it on mt RU-vid channel.
god...this issu happen in all dvcam ...and make me pain a_s_.s special when you just record and hurry time to transfer tape to computer to edit scenes ...hhhhhh
Yup. Always happens when there is a deadline. I know all about that from my stringer days where I got a hot news story that they wanted to get on the show and the player decided to not co-operate when they were dumping to beta sp for editing.
If an Ebay item does not work when it arrives and it states the item is working then Ebay refund the buyer. Easy. Never had an issue. But common sense is advised. I always email the seller to confirm it works or not. So probably that item was refunded anyway.
There is a reason I dont sell on ebay. Too many douchbag buyers. An item is working fine when packed and shipped and then the buyer claims it doesn't work. I got caught up in that mess about 22 years ago when I sold my perfectly functioning evw300 camera. I was going to sell the unit complete and go zero offers. Nothing. Mind you this was 2003 or 4 when nobody wanted anything to do with anything analog. The camera worked perfectly by the way. I got crafty in my wording. I advertised it as a Canon 19x zoom with 2x extender f1.4 broadcast lens for 1/2" ccd camera attached to a free evw300 camcorder in perfect condition. No warranty. No returns, no exceptions all sales final buyer pays actual shipping and insurance costs. I listed the lens model number and referenced canons web site where the prospective buyer could see the lens listed at 2600.00. It sold for 2200, and the shipping and insurance came to just under 300.00. Sent it off. About 43 days later the buyer emails me wanting a refund because the lens didn't fit on his 2/3" camera. No kidding, it was a 1/2" lens designed for a 1/2" camera. The day the email arrived i showed it to a coworker and he immediately said to me, if the funds are stull in PayPal get them out before you tell the guy to jump in a lake. I said no I had already spent the money on a new camera so he said cover your ass, call credit card company and report card lost because he had a dealing prior where they charged his card for the charge back. So I called the credit card company and reported the card lost. The I emailed the guy back and said sorry no refunds. He said it was useless to him so my response to him was it wasn't my fault that he toobstupid to understand that a 1/2" lens won't fit on a 2/3 camera. This went back and forth for about a year with paypal demanding that I deposit the funds back in my account. That fell on deaf ears. That a-hole musk stull owned paypal at this time. Back and forth for well over a year and the final response from ebay / paypal (this was right at the time paypal was sold to ebay) was I was not covered by paypals seller protection up to 2500 because the buyer had paid for the item using his credit card and his bank had ordered a charge back. Had he funded from his bank account then I would have been covered. They then went on to compare my sale as no different that a retail transaction where someone shoplift an item and it is a cost of doing business and demanded I replace the funds. I told them to stuff it, and I am sure there was more colorful language. I have not been able to have a paypal account since then. Now how do I accept paypal now for payments you wonder? Its not in my name. There are advantages to having a son with the same given name. Its in his name and it goes to his bank account which he transfers to me. Pain in the ass but at least I didn't lose 2500.00, and I think Elon could have afforded it. Oh and why did I lose according to ebay. Even though I had advertised it as a lens for a 1/2" camera i did not specifically state that it would not work on a 2/3". Had i put that disclaimer that it specifically would not work i may have had a leg to stand on. Stupid Americans with their stupid consumer protection laws. Certain states do not allow for exemptions from warranty. You know the disclaimer on everything that says that on products? Well this is the reason to stop scumbag buyers from getting refunds because they are too stupid to understand.
