The older silver one sounds crisper to me. I think this is consistent with other comments below, and preference is a matter of, well, preference.

The black actually sounds more directional and picks up a bit more bass also does a better job covering the popping sound when u say a word with s in it ot pops heavy. I wonder what it sounds like with the wind screen

Good mic good built quality but that wire is too short. I needed to be like 8-10ft because I wanna stay away from my camera. I don’t like extension because lost quality.

The sounded different to me, I prefer the old model. The newer one seems to pick up more of the room reverberation.

The black one sounds like it has a noticeable bump in the upper midrange which gives it a bit more clarity to my ears, this is through my harman/kadron Onyx Studio 6 bluetooth speaker. Not sure but I think there's also a slight lower mids scoop and a slightly fatter bottom end, so to me the LV1 sounds like it's been through some post processing.

Definitely a huge difference in quality since I'm picking it up with the speakers on my computer monitor. Kind of odd that he thought they sounded the same. Something tells me those two guitars in the background are just for show ;)
