3:22 That clip flag is very useful! Yet, I would love a way to add a marker in the clip, at the exact time when I hit that button. This way, I could add more "flags". Most of the time I let the camera roll during an interview. Adding an *_OK_* flag, will mark the entire interview as _*OK*._

Allister Chapman uses a little card with a cutout in front of his lens that obscures everything but the gray card and that works great for getting a white balance with the gray card wherever. I’d watch his video. May need a few different cards with different size cutouts depending on where your gray card is (i.e., how big it is in frame).

A better solution i use is a clip-in lens filter called the ExpoDisc 2.0. Put it on your lens and itll give you a neutral middle grey covering your entire frame

I operate with the fx6 and i hate hate hate the auto white balance, hoping for a new firmware that allows you to select a sqaure out of the frame etc. but for now a good way of doing it is get black cardboard and cut a square out, line it up with the lens so that the cutout only shows the grey card through the cutout of the black cardboard. hope this made some sense haha

Hey dude, always love your videos. Quick question, if I had a similar build (fx6, atamos ninja v ect) and im recording onto the ninja v is there still any need to buy a big cf express A card or would 80 or 160gbs be enough, since the ssd on the ninja v is 1tb? Cheers!

To be honest, the fx6 unlike the other cameras aren’t AS strict about the codec you use vs sd card (I’ve tried v60 on all-i) it’s not recommended or guaranteed, but I haven’t had a situation where it stopped me, that said, I’d have some way of having an internal recording, just in case

Also if you DO get one, 160, you’ll get 40 ish minutes on 80GB

Thanks for the hacks Kofi! Have you had any success exporting a .mp4 or .mxf from a Computer, and then being able to play back that clip from the Thumbnail playback function with the FX6? I've tried copying these file extensions over to the PRIVATE>XDROOT> Clip folder, the General folder, even the SD Card Root with no luck. Any ideas, or is it even possible? Happy 4th!

Case closed: the SD card reader was at fault. I plugged the fx6 into the computer via usb and it worked perfect. Incase anyone else runs into this.
