I for some reason couldn't mass select the footage in my bin to do this for some reason. when I selected an individual clip and tried this it worked though. I do think this is the easier solution rather than reverting back to 2021.
I was banging my head against the wall over this for a few hours yesterday - in the end I just went > Interpret Footage > Override Color space to REC 709 - felt like bit of a hack move but I had a deadline lol. Thanks for the post dude - Adobe defs need to sus this out haha
@@kraigpruett this is the only solution at the moment. The bigger issue is creating proxies from FX6 clips which bakes in the 709 look in them. I'm this close to switching to Resolve.
Premiere is interpreting the footage from the FX6 just fine. It automatically detects the correct color space and applies a color space transform, allowing it to be displayed in a Rec 709 timeline without the need for a LUT. To get rid the odd colors, simply go to the sequence settings. Under the "General" tab, ensure that "Auto Tone Map Media" is enabled. Your colors should now appear accurate.
I believe you're able to right click on your imported footage bin, interpret footage and remove the ingested applied lut Premiere has been automatically putting on my default. You may have to do this every time though which can be annoying.
Oh they're trying to "help" you though... help you by being a pain in your ass and my ass and everyone's ass. Kind of like this guy in prison I met one time.
Jeez dude, don't post a video with SOLVED in the title if your solution is to just roll back the Premiere version. LOL. That's not a solution, that's a 4am, deadline in the morning, arrghgh, last attempt, god damn adobe move! (we've all been there). Keep it up though man. :-) P.S the actual solution is to do with colour space.
