Are there going to be any class action lawsuits against Sony for forcing people to buy a new tv ? Why would they terminate the updates for the TVs? People spend $3000 to $5000 on those TVs.

My kd60x690e has software issues i guess. No wifi, no installed apps and cant read usb drive. Now i use chromecast to hdmi port to watch tv. I tried to install uodated software, but didn't work. I used 3 different usb. Downloaded file and plugged in the power cord while pressing the power on button. But nothing happened

You can try resetting the TV to factory settings before updating the TV's software by following the steps provided below: Turn on the TV. While long press the up arrow button on the remote control, press the power button on the TV. (The TV will turn itself off, then back on again.) Release the up arrow button. That's a useful video, but useless if we can't have the actual firmware! Is there any archive on the internet for all the firmware files of your older TVs that were completely wiped out from Sony's website? There are electronics companies that still host files for products they sold in the 90s but you don't keep anything for products that customers bought for thousands of dollars less than a decade ago. Way to go.
