It's a shame Sony don't import these into Britain as they are a brillient IEM. They are not cheap but they have the decency to at least look and feel expensive. And the sound is superb. I couldn't in all conscience recommend anyone to spend this much on IEMs but for those looking for something special they are unlikely to be disappointed. I got a pair from Japan taking a risk based on Crinacles rating and after having been unimpressed with most alternatives I tried (some of which were actually rather disappointing despite high prices and some good reviews, such as the IE800S, N5005 and several Campfire models) and haven't looked back.

Its better with the WM1 Series or TA-ZH1ES though :P Don't forget to try them with Memory Foam, they allow for pressure compensation and so often can fit and sound better

Fantastic overview, thanks!. Are these headphones still a good option at the 1000 USD price range? Or are there now in 2023 better options?

Yes, these are still a good option! But remember that these are primarily intended as in-ear monitors for musicians, and they are great for that purpose.
