I've had these headphones since December 2015 and they'd been my travel and everyday companions throughout my time in college and I've absolutely loved them because they were so lightweight, portable and overall impressive with sound quality for the price. They died on me just yesterday and now I'm being forced to find a replacement for myself
If anyone is thinking about durability, these are the headphones for you. I've had my pair for years, I think they are older than 5 years by now. I thought I was crazy for buying them for 20-30euros since I always bought under 10euro headphones that lasted a year or so. The protective material over the pad is pretty much gone, the sound feels a bit off on my phone now but on PC it's still great. It might be the fault of my 4 year old phone. I want to buy a new pair but I don't know if I should go for the same ones, my budget is pretty much the same.
Great review, just bought these from Tesco, £13 very pleased with them, very comfortable to wear. Sound quality is fine, use them when I'm out walking. Definitely 5 stars.
Excellent! The comparison with the 300s is exactly what I was looking for. I've had my 300s for a couple of years now and they recently had a little accident. I ordered another pair and was sent the 310s that had been mis-stickered as 300s. The thing is their price on amazon is actually $10 less than the 300s. They'd either refund and replace with the right pair or refund for the difference. Knowing that the sound quality is comparable, I guess I'll be fine keeping the 310s and throwing that $10 towards one of those nifty looking headphones stands. and I'm extremely sensitive to treble so that issue seems like more of a plus to me
A really detailed and quality review, that helped me so much in making a choice, and for that i thank you :) . Keep up with the great work you are doing. All the best ;) .
Im actually using these headphones right now. They are great, comfortable for casual use. They may not produce the best sounds, but they are pretty comfortable and great for its 35$ price (american)
Purchased a pair not while ago, gonna be bit critical about these headphones. I can not really say that they are really comfy, maybe because my head is pretty big and the structure of my ears are different comparison other people. And it's pretty hard to use them for a long time, ears are hurting and going a bit sweaty. That's all i can say about comfort. However, sound is "okay" nothing wow, worth the price. But i can say with no doubt, they look awesome, minimal and clear. Nice video anyway. Thanks for sharing your experience, just wanted to hear someone's review about these headphones.
Those are awesome. I have them for 3 months now and I can say that quality and stuff is great. I only made a few modifications, I sticked some foam on the top for head and bought bigger ear pads so now they are over-ear headphones
Just got my second set after my red ones broke after years of use. Cost me seven quid from sainsbury's in white! Love the sound and comfort so lightweight.
i had it two years ago gave it to a friend, and bought sennheisser hd201 for 20£ which i used for like one year and also gave away now bought them again for my mothers friend, for 13£ amazon, and bought zx220bt for my mother because it was only 29£ on amazon - sale from 70£ on argos it was 38£... myself having high end headphones such as beyerdynamic custom on pro's and sennheisser hd4.40bt i still love sony for that 13£ price you can't really argue - they sound perfect for that price. Its better to buy cheap well known company product that cheap some gimmick company products which are plenty to be found on amazon
Thanks for the review. Probably going to pick one of these up today. Also im sorry, but i always laugh a but when i hear you pronounce quality as 'qualiteh' lol. Good review.
I've got the sony zx100. They are pretty old, and due to traveling every day to school and back the got a lot of wear. I also used them at home to for gaming. One of the speakers broke of. I managed to fix it with a screw, but it falls off 2-3 times a day, so I'm looking for a new one. Like I said, I realy liked the zx-100. My question: How far can you turn the speakers of the headphones? With the zx-100 it was almost 90°.
Hi! Thank you for your video. Are the headphones too much weighty on the ears? I tried a lot of headphones and after one/two hours (in particular for skype) I always have ears pain and also headache. Too much pression on ears, I guess (I don't have this problem with smaller headphones). Do you think they are good headphones on that? Thank you very much :)
+Weston Reviews Thank you for your kind reply. what do you recommend? I'm looking for headphones with mic, in order to use them also with my phone for calling etc. I'm using right now very very cheap ones (philips sbc hl 140), but this type doesn't have a mic :(
Hello Weston.....i have two things to tell you....the first one is..u make very good reviews on headphones, thank u for that....and the second one is....which of these headphones is better...is it the sony MDR ZX310 or the skullcandy uprock 2.0...?????
+Weston Reviews Thank you weston.....what do you think about sennheiser HD202 ii and are these better than Sony MDR zx310.....???? Also pls do suggest me a good headphone under $30 which can be used for listening to a lot of music...
I have the Sennheiser cx 300 ii and the KZ ATE. I can get the Sony ZX310 for £15. Do you think it's worth it or is the sound going to be worse compared to these two? Can xou recomend any other cheap headphones?
***** thanks for the useful reveiw, you do realize im going to be using your channel for most things now as you are the only person i have found who covers everything...thanks great reveiw
if You had to choose between these and the Xiomi Piston 3...¿which one would you choose?. i know these are on-ear and the xiaomi are in-ear. but i mean the sound quality... thank you.
Got them dirt cheap at $20 Canadian while the Canadian Store ncix had them at 60% off. Currently have a zx100 so I'll definitely enjoy the upgrade. Plus I'll be able to hold onto my 100s to use as my back up pair should these get lost or broke somehow.
I have these and the sound Is really good. The only thing is that it doesnt have very good noise isolation as everyone around me could hear what I was listening to
Is this better than the sony mdr-xb450ap? I have them both but I want to return 1 which one should it be. I would go with the mdr-zx310ap (I'm pretty sure that the ap does not make a huge difference) but i have a small head LOL so is it worth to look like a dork in public but with good sound quality or to look good with a bit better sound quality?
The reason why i am buying one is because i want a headphone for playing eletric guitar at the computer (Amplitube/GuitarRig). Do you think it would be a good choice?
Sorry to bother you again. I see you are a great comprehender of headphones... Would you give a last advice? I was decided to buy K99 but a K511 came in front of me. Cheaper... Have you already listened to AKG K99 and AKG K511? Would you recommend me one of them? What's the difference between then anyway? Thank you a lot! You're great!
Is there a big difference between this one and audio technica m20x. M20x costs 3 times more than Sony .I want headphones for gaming (about 2 hours) and musics of course. Thank you again
thanks so much for the soon replay, well more especifically, I need some headphones for being on my backpack and for lisening to music on the street or work, but with good bass, i like metal music, jazz and rap, so i'm looking for some with good cuality sound.
Do you still have these? I see video was from 2014. Im looking for a christmas gift for my niece. Have they been durable in terms of the build quality?
***** Well the only difference i saw was the frequency response ,the Zx110 has a range of 12khz-22khz were the zx310 has 10khz-24khz,i don't think that's much of a difference.
***** Also i forgot to ask,But can these be used on a pc without degrading the audio quality?I had other pairs of headset that sounded awful on PC but good on mp3 and vice versa.
+Weston Reviews I went ahead and purchased them. They are better than expected. They hold on tight and are ideal for running, probably because they are so light. The cord is nice and long and more than enough to tuck away and put in your pocket.
Can you please test the sound leakage? If I'm gonna buy headphones I need to know if this leaks little or a lot of sound because I don't want people to hear my music.
Sadly these ZX310 headphones have a slightly muffled treble response (definitely a loss of detail in cymbals and upper frequencies of guitars). When my old Sony MDR-V 150s fell apart I just went for the ZX310s but that lack of top end is a disappointment. I record and re-mix music and found the old 150s just gave a neutral sound but now it's like a blanket has been draped over the instruments. It's my own fault - should have tried them first...
You know, Sony could have produced drivers with a correct upper frequency response and then provided a couple of little foam discs to put inside for those wanting a muffled sound - a win/win situation...
im gonna buy some new headphones but im looking for price about £15 and i found both of these headphones plz what one would u say is better out of these 2 ???? Sony MDR-ZX100 OR MDR-ZX310 what one is better cuz i found them for about same but little more the 2nd one
