I find interesting how that's considered the best model of the PS2, but still, it's worthless due to how much the PS2 sold These things are everywhere, but people still think they are worth millions of dollars
@@drakevevo3710 i know.. i had a SCPH-39004, disassembled it to give it a cleaning, but when i reassembled it, broke 2 flat cables (only the blue part, pins were fine) and some flat cable connectors Bought a Silver Slim 2 days after (SCPH-77004), but now, the laser on that one is faulty.. only reads CDs
I have an old 7900 and it runs smooth like butter like a ps2 should Unless you put Gran Turismo 4 in then it sounds loud. Laser may or may not be leaving me.
@@crazedlunatic43 In Ecuador they sell it at 70 USD with a USB with free mcboot and not including dvd laser. It's quite expensive for the actual economic situation in normal families.
Fun fact: The internal battery wasn't dead. When you have the console switched off for AGES, the clock can reset. That happened to mine and I reset the time. My PS2 is an SCPH-50003
Oh boy is that the super rare ps2 in its original mint condition packaging?! Sure is! I bet the console will work and look like new even though its sat in a half broken cardboard box and is technically not new since its got to be at least 10 years old.
Great video and good job! As I haven't checked the smash list file for ages, I almost cannot believe this day there came the PS2 s&w 'test'! (Well, on the other side, cool surprise) I am glad for watching this video although there were less sparks than in 'that legendary vintage s&w VCR test' video. I Wish You more interesting stuff to be found, tested by s&w and smashed!
My dad have a same model with a UK🇬🇧 Power Plug, My dad Brought it in 2003 or 2004 with OEM DualShock2 Extra Controller (Sold Separately) when it is Included in the PS2 Box + OEM Memory Card (Sold Separately) + OEM Vertical Stand (Sold Separately)
These were good but the lasers on models like my 01 7900 slim are unbelievably crap. I gotta clean the laser Everytime I play gt4 but other than that I love it.
@@danek_hren Late, though if I remembered correctly the unit didn’t read CDs or DVDs and the condition it was in wasn’t great either, like it was previously beaten up. Perhaps “faulty” wasn’t a correct term to describe it’s condition, rather, I’d call it poorly constructed with how awful the build quality was on those models.
