I come to realize that people talking down on one console just coz their preference isn’t matching theirs, provide an absurd amount of female energy. Im speaking to xbox and playstation creators. Ones downfall is never going to be good for the consumer. This is why it’s important to have fathers in the house so they can build that boy into a man and teach them to stay in their lane, rather than let the mother create a creature of chaos by showing them how to gossip and talk down to others. Me, Im a gamer. Im happy with my xbox. My switch. Playstation and pc. Yet. This comment will get blocked or hate. It is what it is.

@@De1usionsofGrandeur majority of their titles give them huge returns. Nintendo have huge sales but they only have like 5 major sellers. Playstations strategy has and always will be 3rd party relationships. No other platform works with 3rd party as much.

I called it years ago in the Xbox one generation that Xbox would come back and clean up by leasing the way too the future which is what they did with the 360... Xbox is back its printing money while Playstation is in deep trouble and can barely keep the lights on...

The gaming industry has been hemorrhaging money for years slowly now add the shitty current economic conditions…the fed is talking about cutting rates again to avoid a market crash. Like what happened to Japan yesterday. Look at the bigger picture “lol” Microsoft gets majority from software development and is a bigger company. Sony is tied to the Japanese market And has more vested in gaming, so with more exposure means more risk during a down turn. “Lol”
If they actually released easy to create on consoles that actually do 4k 120fps and left ray tracing to PCs, perhaps developers could whip out games on the regular. They forgot games matter.

I have come to realize that the youtubers who talk about how bad xbox is that are playstation fanboys are the real reason xbox is still relevant . They can say that xbox is bad business practice, nobody needs an xbox box etc etc, but at the end of the day when it comes to which platforms provides the best experience for gaming, it's always going to be xbox. I just wish that they remove ads that has nothing to do with xbox unless its actual an ad that give discount to specific places
I think all that talk about gamepass made some PlayStation users look into it and they realized it was a better deal than ps+ extra, or whatever, and dropped Sony's subscription plan.
So I am confused about why people are excited for Astro Bot. Isn't Astro Bot a free 2 play game that is basically a DLC to the Astro Bot that every PlayStation 5 users got when they purchased the console? What's the difference with the upcoming one? And also no one is going to play concord, Until Dawn remake is pretty much the same thing expect it has new cutscenes and new outcomes, and silent hill 2 remake I have not heard anyone talk about it at all, so it probably will not be that big

I know they’ve got a hybrid machine coming and I also know they’ve got a handheld.
I spent the last 10 years on the PS4 since launch that was fantastic machine. Hundreds of games PlayStation five rubbish hideous looking machine. Where do you like the series? X consoles doesn’t really matter they’ve done a good job. I’ve had two series X riddled with problems. I’ve converted back to my series which is touchwood always been flawless. I’m already excited for the next Xbox, which I know is in development.

Xbox and PlayStation are the same pcs in different cases. I got every system and I hate to say it but switch 2 is the only one I’m getting ps5 pro and Xbox new console arnt even gonna come in my house I got a better pc than any console can compete with

Apparently, they do mind because software unit sales per capita of PS console owners has been down this gen for Sony. If the PS5 owners didn't mind the expenses increase, then software sales (and service subs as well) would be at the bare minimum at a similar level of attachment to last gen or at greater level if Sony was actually growing their console market. Which is the reality Sony has to deal with as they a struggle to build around being vested in a one endpoint ecosystem. And continue the other endpoints as afterthought.
Another misguided Pony boy not realizing the reality of the situation. 27%+ decline is massive death nail in the console gaming coffin for Sony. This is the second year in declining sales over the previous year. That puts this gens downward slope around 1 1/2 years ahead of last gens. Which is a big problem for Sony because out of the two (Sony and Microsoft) they are the only company here that lives and dies by the need of the support console financially brings to the company as a whole. Sony's decline in gaming profit realization has been huge drag on the company. By comparison MS instead of solely relying on a single endpoint are increasingly building gaming around a multiple endpoint distrusted platform. The fact is MS has been building out the Xbox ecosystem into play anywhere infrastructure, a multiple endpoint gaming platform. MS has also successfully built the ecosystem around pushing it to drive MAU (monthly attached users).Both Microsoft and Sony as well use that specific metric internally as the true detriment of success for their ecosystems. Console sales themselves mean little if users are not using the condoles and buying content and services. Even with Sony having 2.2 time the consoles over Xbox, Xbox still drives in more monthly users on their ecosystem. Sony chest pumped recently noting they had MAU high in 2023 119 million users (there average MAU was far less). By comparison Microsoft gaming monthly average MAU sits at 120 million with a high MAU high of 200 million for that that same year. Microsoft recently announced they are now seeing a MAU 500+ million. Of course, that is a r result of adding the ABK mobile end to MAU which although not same games as console/PC still will allow MS to push those additional hundreds o of millions of monthly gamers to play anywhere ecosystem at a rate Sony could only dream about / The point is if you see gaming as single endpoint than you stuck in the past. And relying on that older model will mean a certain death for Sony gaming. Especially so when you see numbers like their overall hardware sales down YOY by 27%. The gaming industry has transitioned out of that single endpoint model. Sony is just too slow to react and more likely unable to react to what MS is doing (both financially and in ability to push out content). The fact is console is one of many answers to play anywhere model. As a company built around the older it means Sony is fully invested with only supporting PS as the sole first-class citizen and any other endpoint. They may grudgingly support PC but only as afterthought not as first-class citizen that would return value back to the company at the possible expense to consoles. They will live and die by console. Which if Sony were actually growing their console market the gen or even keeping up with last gen sales numbers, it would mean the company's focus on solely being about consoles might not be an issue. But neither of those are true. Sony is not going to be anywhere near PS4 gen numbers and that means no growth for Sony. You can see how investors have been reacting to Sony's gaming numbers. The fact is investor's see the writing on the wall as reflected in Sony's sagging stock price, down 32% since 2021, And Sony still hasn't recovered for last February massive drop in stock value when Sony announced gaming only saw 6% profit realization. The stock is still down 13% from February. You may not wish to see the writing on the wall, but these are big issues for a company whose current model depends on consoles as its main arm and needs to growth in that market. Right now you can even see Sony proper itself adjusting on where they are investing for the future, and it hasn't been gaming. In fact, music is up (and becoming the new golden child) the division that brings in the money for Sony and is doing it with far less risk and cost. Sony shows that future drive by its actions. Those billions they set aside for acquisitions and strategic partnerships are primarily being made in music and then in film/TV not any acquisition of any notability being made in gaming.
