Thanks for sharing all of these RX10 mii samples! It's really helping me evaluate this camera since it's so new. How do you find shooting with the fixed lens? Does the range seem to cover most of what you'd like to shoot?
Jacob Carlson The fixed lens works great for me. It is similar to having a GH4 with a 12-35mm F/2.8 OIS and a 35-100mm F/2.8 OIS lens. The sensor is not as good in low light, but a great camera to run around with.
I ordered one today having been using the RX10 for a while. Looking forward to playing around with 120fps and seeing how it'll handle my slider shots in FCP.
Mark Hunter With 120fps, you could get away with quite a few shots without a slider. The movement will be slow enough and each second translates to several seconds of video. Short quick moves by hand then slo-mo in post.
Mark Hunter This is mark 2, not just rx10. It is Not available in 4K. In menu canera tab 2 switch to xavc s hd, and then recod setting 120. Need the right sdxc card too.
Ok thanks for the reply, I am new to shooting with slog2 on my A7s and so far have just been using the default with the details turned down to -7. Any other tips on the best setting for slog2 would be great. I have been using Film Convert and this seems to work pretty well.
The Georgia Drone 24p 1080. When you shoot in HFR, it can confirm the final video to a selected framerate. I selected 24p as my final so in post you just drop.it right in.
