For sure, but if shooting with only natural light you will be limited to a depth of about 35-40 feet before the white balance will hit it's limit.

Hello dear Can I change the shutter speed location from control wheel to another button Because underwater I can’t use the control wheel in m mode I need to control the shutter and aperture In the housing I can’t spin the control wheel Thanks

VI cause of the colour range of the mark 6 (as mentioned in the video). but its only marginal. if you own a mark 5 i wouldnt ugrpade to 6. Maybe wait to mark 7.

@@roaming_domi7717 The advantage of the RX100V(A) over the VI (and VII) is that the 24-70 is F1.8 at 24mm instead of F2.8.

For 2022 the Sony RX100 VII camera seems a bit outdated...😞 the lack of 4K 60 FPS and small still files leave me feeling I need more...if there was an updated version I would but one right away

Hi, amazing video. I have a question. Can this cajwra go underwater wothout the underwater housing? I just would like to use it in a pool portrait, but can't find anywhere if i need a housing for it. Thank you

This camera does require a housing to go in the water. It is not waterproof in any way on its own.

How do you add a hotshoe to the topofthe ikelite housing for the rx100 vii? I like to put me gopro there.

Not very well. You really want a domed lens and the widest field of view possible for split shots.

Ehh, I don’t do underwater pics but am around water a lot doing whitewater and I’ve tried the Nikon W300 and the TG5 and not super impressed with the photos out of them. Been looking at a camera like the Sony and then adding a waterproof housing versus finding a camera that’s already waterproof.

They are so "professional".. they can't even mention what's the custom white balance range (2500K-9900K.. 12000K...15000K?). That is one of the most important aspects when doing underwater videography. Commercial crap that serves no real purpose to decide if this camera is better underwater.. and especially if it's any better of the RX100V and the RX100VA.

We always export videos at the highest quality for the best representation of the image, but unfortunately RU-vid compression sometimes has an adverse effect on this.
