I wish they'd go back to the f/1.8 at wide angle to f/2.8 at telephoto aperture range. I'd rather have the bigger aperture than the extra zoom. 24mm-70mm was plenty of range for a compact walk around camera.

I still use my Mk1 almost everyday since I bought it brand new years ago. Such a well made and consistent camera.

As an Olympus shooter where every freakin glued part falls apart over time, put a Loctite Super Glue in the bag, solves almost everything!

Would prefer the M5 version with a mic jack (that had an ND filter and F1.8). Don’t need that crazy zoom.

Amazing camera for a pocket size. The only down side aside from the one you've pointed out: I find that there should be a bit more grip on the RX100 range, because although it's nice, small & compact, the slick smooth surface & finish makes it easy to drop/slip from your hand. I also know that a grip exists but that's at an additional expense. It could do with a simple little rubber hold or slight protruding grip to make it easier.... small complain though overall. Cool review Kai!

I want all these nice autofocus things but in the RX10 with the ye olde trusty 24-200mm f2.8 constant aperture zoom and handy dandy internal ND filter, proper headphone and mic 3.5mm jacks to boot. The RX10 Mk2 was really held back by it's autofocus and that's about it

I just want the old stuff back: 24-70 f1.8-2.8 Internal ND Internal time lapse And some long overdue features: 4k60 mic input Real time touch AF in video It seems like they always go sideways to prevent the perfect camera from being released.

I have just picked mine from Curry's and it's now my fav digital everyday camera.

Positive hands on preview, I might consider this Rx100 MKVII as it is perfect for Travels and Vlogging then eventually move onto the A7R IV as I miss my A7iii.

I have the Mark V, it’s not worth the upgrade. I mean I’d only get the mark Vii for the mic input. Guess I’ll see what the g7x mark 3 to come out.

Waiting on RX0 III to have continuous auto focus. Since the RX100 V, I don't see anything they can do for this camera to justify an upgrade. Mic input is decent, but negated by the lack of hot shoe mount. Adding cages/brackets kills the selling point of the camera's compact form factor.

The problem I have with this deep of a feature set is that it's the kind of features that I don't find as interesting without a lens mount.

at wide angle ( 9mm F2.8 ) you are nearly sharp all over the image...so autofocus don't need to work too much :-)

These cameras still look like shit. I have following cameras for over 10 years and nothing has changed and haven't used more then half and they are cheap now. I will be back in another 10 years lol. All the changes are so incremental and not revolutionary.
