Hello it’s flamerevenge, this is my new account. Sorry I won’t be able to repair your lens for you as I haven’t fixed a lens in years and don’t have the time to do so. Can I suggest you follow the step by step on this video as I made it really detailed so that way you can do it from the video. I would suggest buying about 10 flex because it would be your first time and it’s easily ripped. Take your time and take it slow. I hope that helps, good luck with the repair 😊

trisha mai yes it can’t, it would similar this lens, the only difference would be your lens has electronic stabiliser. Hope your able to fix your lens. ( the components would be different inside your lens, so take a photo at every step)

Whit Siever if it’s the front element then no, it’s easy you just have to remove the front clip then the 3 front screws to remove the front glass but take care as not to lose the any parts when doing this

Manuel Rio hello when you say fungus in between the front glass, do you mean in between the thick front glass? If so then I’ll suggest buying another front element because once it’s been separated it would need to be glued back together and aligned to get accurate image. However if you just mean cleaning the glass itself then you can get to it by removing the around plastic clip that has the writing on it, unscrew the glass and it just comes out once cleaned then reverse the process, hope this helps 👍🏽

It's in between the thick glass. Where can i buy it ? Cause i've tryed ebay and amazon with no success. In Sony store they'll ask me the price of a new Lens ..... Anyway i will try to open it , but i!d like to know if the plastic ring Is Made of two pieces screwed, or i Must push the glass Out ?

Kenneth Cox hello there are two possible co-operates if I remembered right it could be the main board or the optical system inside the lens. It’s been a while since I experienced that problem, but if I do remember I’ll let you know which one it is.

Good morning :) I have the same model, OSS SEL18200. I dont know if the problem that I have is mechanical. It try to focus but seems that gets stuck somewhere. I know that if we go to Sony they will tell us to buy a new one :/ that is a very expensive solution. And yes I wanted to know the model number of parts that you used, where can we get it and is there more parts that we can see in that site? I also need to clean the lens inside, it was bought in second had and is full of dust :( Thank you

Luis Domingos hello if the lens is getting stuck then I would say maybe a screw has gotten lose inside and that could be the culprit. The parts I used is called Superior quality 2PCS NEW Lens Induction cable FPC For Sony SEL18200 18-200 Camera Repair parts and Superior quality 2PCS NEW Lens Flex cable FPC For Sony SEL18200 18-200 Camera Repair parts. I bought them on AliExpress because no where else had them in stock. The best thing I would do is to first open the lens up using my video tutorial, once then see if there is any broken cables or lose screws. If the cables are fine and it is just a lose screw then it would be an easy fix. Keep me updated on the progress.
