Excellent video Can you please tell me, have you changed the SI1125 with other power output IC in Sony? It seems so, and if you have, can you tell me with which and is it working properly? BR Zoran
thank you for the review.Actually, with your help i found the problem of my sony str-212AS-and,they're the same,as yours-left channel hum on "phono"(checked with refrigerant-bad trans.),and dead fm...thanx again!
I like the fact that many of these old amplifiers I have been playing with recently have a really detailed silk screen layer on the PCB and the kenwood I'm working on shows the copper track overlay on the silk screen as well. These old amps were really designed to be repairable. I see at least your fuse resistors had the fuse Symbol on the ident so I will look out for this in the future. I have had a can of freeze spray in my work shop for 10 years and never had the opportunity to use it. Apart from last week when I got hot melt glue on my hand and needed a really quick fix whilst running round the shop screaming with my hand on fire. Best regards Chris
