The 2nd Sony Wonder logo was my childhood, JontyMaster! I used to have a whole collection of Sesame Street DVDs and VHS tapes until my father decided to get rid of them in 2018 because I am already grown up as a 17-year-old now, but still my enjoyment as a 4-year-old in early 2007.
As a child it actually scared me. So much so that whenever I heard the noise start to play I would cover my ears or cry, sometimes a mix of both. I don’t even know why it scared me, it just did. 😂 I used to have nightmares too as a kid that would paralyze my body and I heard this in my dream. I try to run from it but it continues to get louder. Sorry for the rambling, but it never relaxed me 😂
Excellent logo history of Sony Wonder, Jonty! My favourite logo from Sony Wonder will be the 2nd logo, because the animation is great and the music is absolutely nice. And I'm pretty sure it will bring a nostalgia to people that watched the Sony Wonder tapes as children.
Thanks, Man! And yes, the 2nd logo is a big classic with brilliant animation! Here's what I think of the rest of the logos. 1st Logo: Average. It's not really the best VHS logo, but definitely not the worst. 3rd Logo: This is a creative logo with great use of sound effects! 4th Logo: Bland. Really bland. It looks like it was made in Google Slides or Premiere Pro in 5 minutes.
I grew up with the 2nd logo and 3:11. I've seen the 1st logo, but it wasn't until later on. The 1st logo can be seen on Rugrats VHS tapes distributed by Sony Wonder (except for Passover).
Sony Wonder used to release Nickelodeon shows from 1993-1996 until Paramount bought the rights originally Rugrats Tommy Troubles and Phil and Lil double trouble were originally going to be released by Sony Wonder in spring of 1996 but due to the contract with Sony Wonder expiring it got delayed until the fall of 1996 when Paramount became the new home video distribution to Nickelodeon since Paramount released the first Nickelodeon movie Harriet the Spy
One day, I'll make a parody of the Sony Wonder logo intro. It'll be based on one of my favorite TV shows "Komicite". The Sony Wonder logo will be all in red. The sky will be absent, but keeping the logo, but the "Wonder" ribbon will be red, as well as the Sony logo. Also the sun, which replaces the letter O in the "Wonder" ribbon will be kept, despite my version being in black background. Also the music for the parody will be from "Komicite".
@@JontyMaster And in my mind, I had some dream variants of the second logo. First dream version, is when the logo finishes, the entire logo zooms in, and the sun on the letter O in the "Wonder" ribbon turns black and zooms through it. Then the Backkom (or Bernard Bear) opening sequence is shown.
"honestly you could've done sony wonder earlier" Well it doesn't really matter now does it? Other than that, thanks for watching. I certainly remember the 2nd logo. I remember making an effects video out of this logo (Inspired by BP Logo Effects) in 2019, but scrapped the project later.
It was used at the end of Sesame Street releases beginning in 2004. It replaced the "wherever videocassettes, book and tape sets are sold" screens they were using from 1997-2003. On "Sesame Sings Karaoke" and "Three Bears & A New Baby" it just went to the black screen immediately after the "Kids' Favorite Songs 2" promo.
