I'm shopping for 10 days now, i knew almost nothing about smart tv and i'm still confused with what i can do or not for my own specific needs. Anyway, i was first attracted by low price the chinese products offered but i decided to play safer with the reliability which is an important aspect for me. Also, those tv being connected to internet, the security aspect was also important so i decided to go with the Sony 65-x77L for 799$ canadian which is a real good price for a 65" tv. Sony is a solid partner to north america for many decade also, i would be tempted to add...thank you for your review Steve. Jacques from Montreal.

Hey Steve i agree Song won this one even though the LG was good. Just by a hair though great review i think three's alot of us out here on the budget and just need a good tv got gaming. Which one would be better as a pc monitor though

The lg looked more washed out, especially that streaming content and Star Wars and the Sonys clarity and contrast just looked better on many of the shots.
