Steven can you please do a mega camera comparison between iphone 15 pro max, samsang s24 ultra, google pixel 8, xiaomi 14 ultra and Sony Xperia 1VI, we would love it. Please
“We would love it”. Who is “we” and why should he work for “we”? There are a lot of informations about these phone models. Xperia has an impressive camera. Especially the bokeh mode and the AF are stunning.
I really loved the thing that you bringing more and more good content like this street photography, we would love to watch street photography mobile reviews... Thank you Steven love from India❤
It has a headphone jack, sd card slot, good batery, good camera, but 6.5" sound gigantic. So I went to check it out in-person. No show rooms near me have it and the only 5 VI I found was broken. That does not bode well...
@@Elijah-fc3ex As a photographer I'll tell you that the Xperia is a great phone for those who shoot sony and need a decent substitute for when they cant bring their big boy camera. When it comes to autofocus and camera control and actually taking pictures Xperia is peak in that regard. When it comes to hardware like sensors and lenses Xperia really does fall behind sadly. It doesn't help that it has little to none computational photography features either which is why it will fail with jpgs compared to other phones. Imo if your really serious about photography then the Xiaomi 14 ultra is the best camera phone flagship of this year
The only i like about SONY they keep it original and SD Card slot. I wish i have Sony but I'm not photographer but i love taking photos and videos with my s23 Ultra. I love this video, keep it up 😃
@@riowinaryo18_86 I absolutely agree! The sd card slot and headphone jack are the main highlights, Still very difficult to justify the $1500 price tag for me. thanks a lot for watching and your support!
To be honest Your IPhone 15 photo review was absolutely fantastic. But the xperia is like taking kinda dull and gloomy photos and also now I'm thinking about the xperia 1V was better😂 Oh and also you forgot to take the telephoto macro shots. Eagerly waiting for the next one. Make a review on iphone 15 vs 1VI soon please. Take love💙💙
I use Mac and prefer iOS but prefer Xperia 1 VI more natural look camera quality, do you think that 2X tele macro, no hole screen, fingernail level of removable SIM and microSD card tray and headphone jack is worth to switch? It seem like there isn't much variation in macro photography and if I want to explore macro world for education purposes, I can just google it, hence no need to consider it on the camera departments?
I love the review, thanks for sharing. I think the telephoto doesnt look that compelling. Could you please buy and review the Vivo X100 Ultra please. Thats a true flagship for Zoom and optical camera quality!
I went from Xperia 1 IV to Xiaomi 14 Ultra, mainly due to your review of that phone compared to Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra & another video comparison of Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs. Xperia 1 VI. My main takeaway is the lens & sensor quality on Xperia 1 lineup is not good, especially for the price. The software is fine, nothing amazing. Sony's color science is okay as well.
Steven which phone do you think has the best camera and video quality overall, from all the phones that have been released (and that you’ve tested of course) in the past 12 months?
The true view from the phone actually makes it clear that the weakest link for xperia 1 mark 6 is the small sensor size for the telephoto and macro. This makes it clear that sony needs to improve upon their camera sensor. Im hoping for better low light photography especially telephoto from xperia 1 mark 7 next year to jump from samsung.
@@romualdasmarkauskas I used Lightroom, I have a separate tutorial on how to edit photos from phones, it’s in my Samsung Galaxy series. You can use this info for pretty much any phone out there: Samsung Galaxy Ultra: How to Edit Photos in Lightroom Mobile for Beginners ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KNuEGlyHb5U.html
you are correct, the telephoto is actually soft its been like this since the 1v i wonder how this 'optical' zoom will fair against xiaomi 120mm prime...
@@StevenDivish its because it's a zoom lense, which usually have worse sharpness than primes, the lenses are plastic too,(normal for phone zoom lenses but others use better plastic or glass+plastic) Most importantly, the sensor is tiny, thus worse details, noise etc
@@StevenDivish if sony wants to implement a proper optical zoom lens, they can, just that the phone will have much bigger camera bump than even the Xiaomi, they'd need a main camera grade sensor like 1/1.5 inch AND use majority glass+ some plastic element lense if not fully glass.
Any good cases for this phone? I was thinking of getting a custom Devil case for this but idk if I should go for a black case or green to match the phone

Steven, could you review about the new Blackmagic Camera App for Android? And how it fares with respect to the Pro Video modes of the Android phones? This could give a huge insight
Did you know... you can install Google Camera (GCAM) on all Android phones? Maybe that'd solve the over exposure in images since it's using Google's AI to process the images.
@@StevenDivish The previous models had separate specialized camera apps that did what they were intended for very well. I don't like how they basically killed videography on this model at least before they add it with the expected update.
@@EvanKenobi there’s no point to show RAW photo out of camera without editing If you want to see unedited jpegs from Xperia, watch my comparison Xperia vs s24 ultra on the channel
bought that phone and the photos are worse than from my nearly 4 years old s20 fe. even the zoom up until 20x is better on the s20fe. The xperia 1vi is an hilarious fail. I returned it today with no second thought. Gonna keep that phone at least for 3 more years.
Yeah I don’t know what’s happening with the telephoto lens…I guess you also faced the problem with the photos being too soft? the main camera is good though. Either way I’ll cover all that in detail in the next full review🎥🫡
@@StevenDivish 3.5x is sharp but higher gets softer. Looks like digital zoom amd not losless optical. Also, the 3x zoom of my s20fe is so big like the 5x on the xperia. Something is way off with sonys tele lens. Photos with normal lense look washed out compared to my s20fe. i like the more vivid colors better that the "natural" look of the xperia.
Hey Steven, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, currently I'm looking for more works, do you love to have a logo for your channel's branding to have a memorable graphic based monogram logo to help your audience recognise and follow your channel easier? I would love to design a techie themed logo inspired by your direction for you! Let me know if you interested to make it happen! :-)
Had 1 IV for nearly 2 years. Will not touch Sony phone for a loooong time. By far the most unpolished phone I’ve had and price and resale value is a joke. Out of 100 photos maybe 10 were “wow”. The rest were either ok or plain bad
