This video will show you how to disassemble Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, which is needed to do when you repair the internal parts such as Battery, Loudspeaker, Headphone Jack, Microphone, Charging Port, Earpiece, Rear Camera and Front Camera.

Step1 Remove the Back Cover
Step2 Remove the Battery

my front camera icon is missing on camera app. is that a hardware failure. the issue is after upgrading to marshmallow. used to be fine when still in lollipop...

I'm afraid it's not the hardware failure. most M4 aqua have that problem, n here is suggestion: boot your device in safe mode like this: talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008 n then test if the issue disappear or continues also in this mode. If it disappear, there's an app that is generating the problem with your camera.

The M4 Aqua Headset Jack and Loudspeaker can only be used in M4 Aqua. Generally speaking parts of other phones are not compatible with it.

Hi, I want to replace my rear camera. And I'm thinking of also changing my back cover color from my black OEM one to your "custom back cover - white". I was just wondering why your sticker design is so much more simpler than the OEM one? Does it make my phone more vulnerable to water? Can I use the OEM sticker to stick your white back cover? no, the back cover sticker would be damaged n if not it would not be adhensive to set well. My suggestion is replace a new back cover sticker once you open it, n sorry for the late reply btw. have a nice day :)

First plz be sure every parts are installed well. You can test the phone before putting back the Rear Cover. The phone would NOT be water-proof again after disassembled.

So to replace the screen i have to remove all of that? What about the headphone Jack? it just stopped tl work randomly

well you can choose not remove all thing, but to remove the screen you should at least remove parts below: battery, motherboard, loudspeaker and earpiece(the up speaker)

Today I just had my m4 aqua repaired at a local tech store. After the guy had finished removing the back cover to replace the ear speaker and reattaching it, my phone can barely pick up any wifi signals. Was the problem caused by that tech guy ?

It seems like the Signal Antenna Cable was not connect well, you can go back to the repair store and ask for help.

After a go kart crash, my m4 Aqua bent slightly and now the camera won't open. is this a loose connection? +is there a way to add more INTERNAL memory? +is there any way to integrate a gyroscope???

Do you know where the UART ports are? They could be somewhere on the Motherboard, I guess.

Do you mean the port that enables the computer to communicate via a serial line?

Yes. There should be an unmounted connector slot on the PCB. I haven't disassembled my own phone yet in case it doesn't exist. On the page below Sony shows the location of UART ports of some other Xperia devices, but unfortunately those of M4 Aqua aren't there. developer.sonymobile.com/open-devices/how-to-access-uart-ports-on-xperia-devices/

Sorry I can't define which is exactly the UART, cause there are so many unmounted slots unless you get the motherboard design paper from its factory, or it's hard to tell which it is. :(

Ok, I got a problem, my brother used my phone in a pool which has chlorinated water so it won't start again because somehow water probably got inside and now I have no idea what shoud I do it might not be it but I'm in a big problem .......I can see that my camera's are all white as well
