This seems to work on my XZ1, Hold down the Volume Up and the Power button for about 10 seconds. You should feel a few vibrations. This will turn your phone off.
Glass shattered on my XZ1 but the screen and touch works, bought a replacement digitizer but it doesn't have the front glass and the "Sony" logo is laser etched instead of the way the original logo looks. Any way to replace just the glass? How about finding a real original replacement screen?
@@AnotherKentPaul yes it's possible there are videos that shows the process. I did it and I recommend you bought the adhesive made for this model because with the regular glue on my particular case the results are not the best, hopefully that's not the case with something similar to the original one.
No, same here, I ended up putting on 2 seals on top of eachother, as 1 seems to be too thin. The screen doesn't stick much more than normal, so I wonder if the after market stickers are thinner. I ordered from various suppliers on ebay, but they are all the same. Its the first Xperia I had this issue with, but it seems to be common for the XZ1.
Do you have any small diagonal lines all over the display? Its really obvious when looking at white, or brighter colors. You have to look pretty close, but it can get annoying.
No I don't, but I have had a non oem screen which had a green yellow ish hue over it. So perhaps your screen is faulty or dust in the connector is interfering.
@@viperlodge Thanks. Sorry for asking again, but I just want to confirm that you did not see any tiny diagonal lines, even when seen up really close on bright colors? Other screens I've bought all has diagonal lines, so I'm afraid that there might be more issues. Here is a image of what they look like: talk.sonymobile.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/42536i5D8427CF84FB14E0/image-size/large?v=1.0&px=999
Hi, that looks awful, I don't have those at all, it makes me wonder if there is some interference from another part, especially if you tried more screens. Wonder if there is some other part on the Mainboard that is at fault, maybe a cap or so. But that becomes quite a challenge to find.
Hi, I bought them via ebay, search for "LCD Faceplate Double Sided Adhesive Sticker For Sony Xperia XZ1 G8341 G8343" you may needs to other stickers for the bottom loudspeaker and the top loudspeaker as that one is stuck to the LCD screen. I bought 5 of these stickers and cut my own strips for the speakers. Also you may need 2 stickers on top of each other around the screen as 1 seems to let go after a while. Good Luck :)
