This is not a screen repair video as the title indicates tbh, it's just a screen replacement. I was looking for a video on cleaning between the actual display and the glass.
What If the Smartphone got Water damaged and then you replace the Display? I have put it Into a bag filled with Rice and waited two days. It still didnt worked. Now i have opened it as shown in witrigs Videos about IT and i could Not find any liquid. Also my Displays connection cable was broken. So i think only a replacement of the Display should Help fixing this issue. Im unsure though If i Broke IT by opening the Phone
Buying replacement lcd is your option now since the connector wire ripped apart. Also dont forget to removing your earpiece to ensure you not doing mistake like i did. I threw away earpiece speaker.welp thats fine since i can buy another earpiece in e shop.
I'd have to say no. I bought the replacement screen and while for the price it's hard to beat for a working screen, I could not get the screen to seal to the body. The glue doesn't seem as thick as the factory glue. Maybe there's a trick but it would not bond for me properly. I ended up giving a third attempt at resealing and in the process ripped the ribon cable which now has broken the digitizer. Bummer! If you have proper sealant maybe this is a great price for a working screen but I noticed the screen's ribbon cable is not a thick as the original, the glue not as strong, and I can see the matrix pattern rather noticeable on the replacement (before I ripped the ribbon cable) which was not noticeable on the original screen.
Yeah the original Sony adhesives are pretty darn sticky I’ve sent mine to Sony to replace the screen under warranty and even their own repair adhesive isn’t sticky enough too It ends up the screen popping up on the corner where it sits against the camera Then i tried to reseal it and followed the guide which applying 95 kg of force after the screen is stuck But still, it popped up again
