First, great vid! I followed the setting but on Audo Rec Level I get an error message of... "This operation or setting not available as follows... Shoot Mode - Program Auto. What would be causing this?

I have a question for you. I would like to output 4k on a ZV1 to a Macbook as I was doing some screen recording on Screenflow. But went I go to my setting and try to select 4K output, that function was off and I do not know how to turn it on. I would appreciate it if you would show me how. THX

Hey so I’m having issues with my rode mic for my camera. Every time I hook it up to my Sony zv1 and do an audio test The audio gets picked up on the camera mic and not the rode mic. What am I supposed to do?

Under file format, i only see the option of shooting in 24fps for 4k. I cannot see any 30fps option. Any suggestions?

Maybe some can help I find when I am looking right at the camera everything is great but when I not looking right at the camera the image gets darker... this could be cause of my skin complexion. How do I keep the camera from reducing lighting??

Okay - you gotta lose the jazz music background through the ENTIRE video. I felt like I was stuck in an elevator watching this. haha But otherwise, THANKS for this and all your vids. You do a great job of very clearly explaining stuff. I'd love to see more ZV-1 vids taking us from simple/basics for newbies into more advanced stuff so we can learn and grow and eventualy be able to do more pro stuff with the camera. Hey Jason, you've got 120p available in your settings. My ZV1 only show 100p... WHY?! :D

Thanks for this! I set up my camera most of the way through. I was wondering why I was getting 25fps instead of 24fps, but then fixed it by changing to NTSC. The other gotcha was though Auido Recording and Audio Level Display are both on, Audio Rec Level is grayed out; camera says that I'm unable to use it in Program Auto mode. Also, I'm on Big Sur so can't upgrade the firmware. But hopefully, ready for use!

@Jason Vong u can use the MR or Memory recall to also save your 2 settings for your 4k shoot and 1080p for b-roll.. just to add

Buddy, I have a RX100 M6 and also an M1. I would like to know if there is much difference in image quality in the final result between the Xperia and the RX100. I was going to trade my RX100 m6 for a ZV1 because of low light, but I'm thinking about getting XPERIA if the quality isn't too different. I don't need a zoom, just the same clarity and sharpness that I had on the RX100 M1. I would appreciate if we can chat a little more about this.

so i got an issue with my sony zv1 camera. im using a sony k1m xlr mic that connects with the Multi Interface Shoe on certain cameras. Ive noticed the zv1 uses a Multi Interface Shoe and when I decided to connected my mic to it I got a display message telling me; "this accessory is not supported with the device and cannot be used. please verify the compatibility with the device." does this mean I cant not used my sony k1m mic with this camera or do I need to verify it in the settings or somewhere?

Shooting Mode: Program Auto. When I go to Tab 2, Page 3 , I have audio recording on, but audio record level is greyed out. I press on it it says this operation or setting is not available as follows: shoot mode program auto? did I miss something? Note, I have reset the settings 3 times. It displays this way each time, only in Program Auto tho which is my perfered setting. When in Intelligent Auto Movie mode, Tab 2,Page 3 it shows Audio Recording On and Audio Record level is active and set at 15. my DJI wireless mic reciever is connected when both modes are selected and it is set at 0db and reciever gain is set at -3db.

Hey ! So I have a question so I did my settings all correct to this video but im looking to shoot in 4k but after looking at a clip on my camera it still doesn’t look 4k to me smh. Is there a setting that I’m missing or it is how I’m exporting my video ? If so what settings do I do for it to export in 4k to have that smooth crispy look ?

Can this ZV 1 be wirelessly connected to my pc through my lan network so as to connect to microsoft teams or webex to avoid the USB cable like it is possible to do with a GoPro 8 or 9.
