Awesome video as always Sidney. Love seeing the lantern being used this time. I recently picked it up after not being able to find the light dome mini ii in stock anywhere, and I couldn’t be happier with the versatility of it. I think it might be one of the most underrated products aputure has. Thanks for the tips on using the skirt as well! Can’t wait to try some of this out soon.

In my opinion .. the zv1 is good for video at a controled light environement (because at low light sucks) ... For photos you get even or better with just any new smartphone.

So, Sony has created 4 years later a camera with a smaller sensor than a Lumix G7 or G85 (released in 2016), now with overheating and battery duration issues. Great for Sony, they have listened to vloggers! :)

There's a lot of people complaining about the lack of proper wide angle on this camera, and how Sony shouldn't call the vlogger camera without that. Maybe Sony decided to focus on things like this, unboxing, product reviews, influencer-style stuff, rather than travel vlogging.

Hey Sydney, love your videos and I actually just picked up the zv1. After taking some photos and trying to import them into my imac, I found out that both lightroom and the preview app on the mac didnt work with the raw photos. Did you have that issue?

Hey Sidney! I got an A7iii w/ Batis 25/2 - Awesome for vlogging but a little overkill. Was thinking about selling it and replaciing it with this ZV1 ( i also take simple product shots for merchandise) so im still in the air but would be nice to save some money

Don't do it! manual focus is jank AF, you can only control 2 out of 3 things in any one mode...battery life is about 45 seconds...you can't pull the SD card and get video off it, you have to connect it switched on (which also drains battery like crazy even when connected via USB) ....screen is really not faithful...would exchange mine for almost any full sized camera with controls an adult sized hand can use in a second.

Sony doesn't pay a dime, so don't assume that ever. Also, we creators are extremely creative and can make camera given in our hands tell a good story. Our job is to show everyone the potential of this camera. Also, the camera is really that good.

Trust me we just got this camera few days ago, and it is a really good camera. We aren't professional v loggers or photographers at all and this camera is do easy to use. I'm in love with it. Sony aren't paying nobody lol. Wellll actually one thing I'll say is that tge battery life doesn't last as long. Buuuuut you can just buy a couple of spares that you take you with you. 😁😁😁

*This is so fake!* Tf are they celebrating?! Of course it took a _picture_ ...it's a camera. But for product photography these are so blurry [not nearly sharp enough] it's insane! And, sure, you can do a lot of work in post editing but an ACTUAL proper camera would take care of _at least_ that when you take the initial shot! RU-vidrs are all liars. [Most of them.]

@@SidneyDiongzon Nope! My comment didn't state what you just said. And your comment doesn't change the fact that almost all RU-vidrs are in it (everything they do) for the money and are liars. Even "appearing Genuine" is now apart of the bit these days! Even NON-photographers can spit out the words lighting, composition and setup just from watching a day's worth of other RU-vid videos on the topic, or, hell, even a quick Google search. But funny... even after *All That* and these photo still suck like hell for real, quality product photography! I wouldn't truly recommend this camera to my viewers for this profession! And they only fall for the examples here because they don't know any better. But hey, maybe they could get the lowest paying jobs out of this.
