Yes - that’s actually a good idea for the next walk. There may be times you won’t get as much background blur, but it’s a sharp lens. Good value.

@clarkkentll5490 I have an update, it's been a little ove a month since I got my ZV e10 and wow this thing is a beast! Im loving the colors, sharpness, videos, everything. Safe to say I haven't touched the T7 since, I'll only use it as a B camera or might even sell it off in the future Matched the ZV e10 with a sigma 30m and wow, thinking of buying a zoom lens in the future to replace the kit lens

Great range on that one. You’ll never have to take it off your camera!!

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis ZV-E10 have a zoom rocker which work with the 18-105mm, its very hard to zoom with lens and take picture unless your thumb is on the shutter + zoom rocker. Also, i will use the UV filter instead of lens cap on the 18-105mm, and will carry with Peal Design strap

I just pressed auto in Lightroom or sometimes used the Lightroom presets.

no, not really. There are a few reasons the shutter would be different. if I’m in aperture priority, the camera is deciding what the shutter should be for the proper exposure. slower shutter lets in more light, faster lets in less. so in a sunny area, the shutter speed will be faster than in a shady area at the same f1.8. when shooting manual, the shutter speed will be up to you. you can do a really slow shutter for long exposures or really fast shutter to freeze motion. of course, you will have to manipulate your aperture, and iso to make sure your exposure is correct. But the lens length has little to so with it (with the exception being the rule of thumb that your shutter should be at least double you mm. I don’t pay much attention to that “rule” because I find I always need a faster shutter to get really sharp pics. 1/250 at least for me).

Lightroom hasn’t updated yet - so I just used jpegs for this video. Maybe next month I can start doing the RAW 👍

Lightroom is not updated to include the ZV-E10 files. They will do it November probably. But right now you can convert the RAW files to TIFF using Sony's imaging software.

battery life was great. used it for a couple of hours - still had half left. But not having a viewfinder is not as good. you get used to it - reviewing your photos is not as easy. the viewfinder has much better resolution so you know what you’re getting. if you have the budget, the A7C is the thing to get. IBIS, Full Frame, viewfinder, better LCD - it’s just a better camera. but you pay for it!!

the camera is fine they way it is...I shoot film and full frame and the adjustment takes minutes..

@@michaels5166 I used to shoot film when I joined the USAF in 1970. Got lots of great pictures. But after tasting the sweetness of these digital cameras, it's hard to go back. Not that I don't like film, it's the clunkiness of the old SLRs that gives me a slightly sour taste. I took my Nikon FE2 out for a ride and, it just wasn't the same. Now for high res pictures, I got the Sony A7R3 with its 42mp sensor. Wish I waited as soon the A7R4 came out, but hey. What I learned from scanning B&W negs and looking at the high pixel count sensor of the A7R3, there's a lot to consider. To not destroy the beauty of B&W pictures, the highest resolution scan is necessary. Digital images break up badly if enlarged too much, so that is one reason I love a high megapixel sensor in a camera. It's a quality that makes quite a difference when needed. But I do miss making my enlargements from B&W negs. Even pictures taken with Tri-X looks good when enlarged to 11x14 inches.

I am here to say Thank you a million! The adapter worked very well with the old Tamron 24-70mm ef First generation. Auto focus during video also worked very well 👌👌

The sensor is the same in the two cameras so the image quality is very very similar. They have the exact same picture profiles too. But if you do a lot of photos, the a6600 is the better choice. Viewfinder is so much better to have with photos, much longer battery life and IBIS.

a viewfinder is extremely helpful when taking photos. If you only intend to use this as a photo camera, I would get the a6100 or a6400 instead.

for sure. But if you are going to do a lot of photography, I suggest the a6400 because it has a viewfinder, is weather resistant and had better photo capabilities. (or even the a6100 if you do not plan to do video)

the video on all the Sony apsc cameras will be very shaky handheld. The ZV-E10 can be run through catalyst browse, but that is a separate program and takes some time. The ZV-E10 has no viewfinder, so that is a drawback. The a6300 has a decent viewfinder so it will be better for photos. but you actually might want to look at the Canon R7 as it is a good all round camera.

it can shoot 11fps, so you should be able to shoot that if you hold down the shutter in burst mode. If after you take a picture it takes a second to write to the card that’s fine, as long as it doesn’t stop you from shooting. When a camera’s buffer fills up, you have to wait until it clears to shoot.(say after you shoot in burst mode for a while). abut as ling as the shutter fires off, the buffer is not full.

The 50mm 1.8 will work great. The Reason you buy APSC lenses usually is because they are smaller and cheaper. But the 50mm 1.8 is inexpensive and small - so it’s an option for sure. But remember it will have the equivalent of a 75mm lens which is better suited to portraits.

I'm a beginner and i have a budget only for 1 lens. Should I get one of the primes ? 16mm/23mm/other or spend a bit more and go for a zoom lens something like Sigma 18-50?Mostly for travel photography, cityscapes and portraits.

Yes, but it’s just aperture priority set to the lowest fstop on your lens for “defocus” or f11 for “clear”. You’re better off using aperture priority and doing it yourself. I’ll mention it in my setting video.

I always shoot raw, but at the time of this video, they did have support for Raw. So this video is jpeg.

I really like the G95. It’s better for photography in many ways than the ZVE10, especially because it has a viewfinder and great stabilization. It also has a better screen and better menus. It’s sensor is smaller so it be harder to separate the background and get the background blur. You could also look at the a6100 because it’s the same as the ZVE10, but it has a viewfinder, and then you can get that great Sony autofocus but still have a viewfinder

@@850Tech no - smartphones have a better screen for sure. If you set the Sony screen to sunny weather you can see it outside well. But the back screen isn’t great.

@@850Tech if you’re going to take a lot of photos - I would say yes. Plus you get a better build and weather sealing. You’ll lose a little on the video side (no catalyst browse and no eye tracking in video no fully articulating screen). But for photos - I would do the 6400.

The Nikon os probably better for photos because the screen is better. Easier to see. Quality will be indistinguishable

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis ik sir. It's too many doubts because I was almost going to purchase the zve10 and at that time I saw this z30 and got totally confused.

Definitely the Sigma. The Tamron 28-75 is a full frame lens so you'd be getting 42-112 equivalent. and it's much bigger and heavier. So unless you want to shoot things from far away, the 18-50 makes more sense.

@@behrooz8393 But just to make sure - the Sigma in full frame terms is 27-75 compared to the 42-12 of the Tamron. You always have to factor in that APS-C crop factor

To me the only difference between them is the crop factor which is related to sensor type rather lense so why bother creating different lens lines while they can make full-frame lenses which are compatible with both full and aps-cs and only aps-c users should consider crop factor. I hope I could get my point across if not please let me know so I elaborate.

@@behrooz8393 Yes - I understand your point.It’s true that using full frame glass is not a problem in APSC lenses. But they make APSC lenses because they need less glass so the lenses can be smaller, lighter and cheaper since the sensor is smaller. There are some other minor differences as well - I should make a video, thanks for the suggestion

Standard profile - aperture priority

i adjusted the photos but not much at all. the jpeg s are good out of camera, but you really need to shoot in raw and use a program like Lightroom to get the most out of your camera

While the autofocus isn't as good - I would still choose the a7ii for photo only. It's a nice full frame camera that can pros used for years.
