The real question is why after more than a decade, has Sony NOT updated the very poor optical qualities of that kit lens?

It is way overpriced. I would pick it up for $800, but not for $1099. I have A7IV and some time ago I bought sigma 18-50mm 2.8 lens for testing. I failed to return it after and now I have this lens and looking to attach APC camera to it. This is kind of backwards. I was looking for this camera and hoping it would not be that expensive. I guess if I add another $300 to it, I would be better off with A6700.

Buying the white one makes no sense to me unless one just want to use the kit lens. No other commonly used lens from Sony comes in any other color than black. Same problem with the Nikon zfc. The cameras look amazing, but only with the included kit lens. With the other lens they look worse than just black on black.

No IBIS to cripple many of decent and cheap third party lens, with spec kit that barely upgraded from the 300$ a5100 kit...

Arthur, you are the only person I trust. I was planning to buy this camera as my first mirrorless camera but I'm going to give it up and buy the a6700. It is not that much more expensive than the ZV-E10II, but it is more than twice as good. I love everything you do and post, I admire your family and I wish you all the happiness in life.

Alamo with the model of the original way the fort looked is fantastic. A famous Rocker donated a lot of memorabilia to the museum. The Botanical Gardens, plus the Zoo and next to it is the Chinese Tea Garden. Wonderful picture taking. Cheers!
