It’s nice upgrade for sure but not for $1000. I think it should be priced at $850 for the body alone.
@Gemini_Connect
@Gemini_Connect Месяц назад
The original ZV-E10 is down to $800-ish, so that could be a slightly cheaper alternative. The MII will likely go down in price when it eventually goes on sale and/or there are used versions on the market.

@@Gemini_Connect I bought my ZV-e10 for $750 brand new from B and H when it came out. Plus it came with the kit lens.

Overall, it sounds like the Mark II is a nice upgrade but not a must-have if you already have the original ZV-E10. I think I will stick with my ZV-E10 for now and maybe invest in a better lens
@Gemini_Connect
@Gemini_Connect Месяц назад
The original ZV-E10 is indeed a solid camera. If you don't need the image quality boost/better battery life, I agree that sticking with the original and upgrading your lens might be better for now until the MII goes on sale.

Great video! This is the very first ZVE 10 II video I have seen. I have been holding off buying a new camera for months while I waited for the ZVE 10 II. But I watched hours and hours of videos on the Pocket 3, including all your Pocket 3 videos. Well, I ran out of patience waiting for Sony, and 2 weeks ago I purchased the Pocket 3. I think the Pocket 3 will suit my usage needs much more than the ZVE 10 II. But it will be interesting see how well the ZVE 10 II is received. Going off this video, I think it will be very well recieved. I am really looking forward to more ZVE-10 II content from you. Great job as allways.

Makes me realize all I need is iPhone log and a small gimbal that’s pocketable or a pocket 3.
@Gemini_Connect
@Gemini_Connect Месяц назад
Honestly, you can do a LOT with just a phone and mini camera like the Pocket 3. The main reason why I'd look into an interchangeable lens camera like this is if you wanted to improve your wide angle/zoom image quality -- that's quite hard to do on phones and pocket cameras.
@jaymills1720
@jaymills1720 Месяц назад
@@Gemini_Connect absolutely agree! Unless we’re doing printing etc, for socials seems like a lot. That said I’ll never bring interchangeable lenses to a party, wedding, bbq, or vacation. Too bulky lol

Can you also make a comparison against a full body camera, say the Sony A6700 or Canon APS-C series please? An area to focus could be the IBIS, 4K 60fps quality video comparison? Super keen to see if there are any over-heating on this new EV-Z10 II
@Gemini_Connect
@Gemini_Connect Месяц назад
The a6700 is a crop sensor/APS-C camera like the ZV-E10 I and II are.
@andyjames7534
@andyjames7534 Месяц назад
@@Gemini_Connect you are correct but in a way more beefy body. I’m keen to understand the comparison between the 2 from your perspective
@JJARCHIE
@JJARCHIE Месяц назад
All 26mp based cameras overheat , this includes xt4,xt3,xs20,a6700,zve10ii. Its due to the non stacked non fan coooled nature of the body. Zve10ii doesnt have ibis , lacks mechanical shutter ( e-shutter is around 1/60th of speed ) , no evf and thats it againts the a6700. Buy the zve10ii if you do mostly video and do light photo ( so no sports or fast moving subject )

Finally! A demo of the e10 mk2! I'm so excited for it. I'm a little bummed at the price since all the rumors suggest a 800 price for the body only, but it does feel like the features do account for the $200 extra. Looking forward to more videos about it!
@ColtsFan288
@ColtsFan288 Месяц назад
can you please compare this camera with a A6700
@Gemini_Connect
@Gemini_Connect Месяц назад
I'm not planning to do a comparison video, but in a nutshell, I'd say get the a6700 if you can afford it. It's ~$400 more, but it appears to have slightly better image quality and built-in stabilization and caters more to advanced users. However, if you're on a budget and/or a novice to Sony cameras, the ZV-E10 original or MII is likely a better fit.

Guess the a6700 is the ultimate APS-C camera from Sony for all use case regardless of photos and videos 🙆🏻‍♂️
@Gemini_Connect
@Gemini_Connect Месяц назад
Although I haven't tried it, everything I've seen and read about the a6700 does make it seem like it's the ultimate compact camera. The main drawbacks I see is that it's slightly more expensive, and caters more to an advanced user. The ZV-E10 (and the ZV line as a whole) is overall cheaper and intended for beginners.
@joelconolly5574
@joelconolly5574 Месяц назад
@@Gemini_Connect true. But seems like a pretty big price hike seeing some changes and removables while also implementing a few add ons. $1000 is a hard pill to swallow for video only production. But that's just me as a budget conscious buyer. When compared to other products of similar brand like FX30, a6700 and the biggest brother the ZV-E1 it looks reasonable enough. But seeing both the ZV-E10 M1 and a6400 is about sub $700 now, it does beg the question of whether this is viable ar this price for one purpose only over a smartphone. Ok speaking jargon now but I feel at a grand need to offer something else to justify it's price hike. But it does feel like a more powerful point and shoot video production work at a quarter of a price of bigger brothers.

Sadly, it’s missing a headphone jack. The version one had both the mic and headphone jacks. 🤦🏽‍♂️
@Gemini_Connect
@Gemini_Connect Месяц назад
Fair point. Honestly, I don't use headphone jacks when I'm vlogging or making content so I don't see it as a downside. But for those who might be filming someone else and need to monitor sound, it can be a challenge not having it. There are some external mic systems that have headphone ports.
