16-35mm lens 1.8-2.8 …built in Nd filter, 4k 60fps, stabilization, no crop, no recording limit, swivel screen, 10 bit, eye autofocus, external audio jack…. This is the pocket point and shoot that we all dream about… and honestly if it had all of this except 4k 60… I’d still have to have it! Even if I needed to buy 10 batteries lol.

I've recently been considering purchasing a camera with the goal of using it for vlogging. I've noticed some bloggers using some elevated footage as Broll in their videos and really like the idea. I'd like to know, for the second generation body, was the HFR feature removed from the first generation body? I'm wondering if this will have some impact on vlogging, especially when adding some elevated shots. Based on your experience, would you recommend that I purchase a Gen 1 body or a Gen 2 body? Thanks!

The small angle was such a disappointement in the first version - that I still have - especially for a camera made for the vlogs... glad they did it well this time and the sound is really good too!

Great information Peter. ??? Due to the Aperture. If you have a ZV-1 with a Wide Angle Solution, what is the biggest selling point to upgrade ? Would it be image, etc

No reason to... Side grade. No OSS, and smaller aperture. The 24-70mm is a useful range, the new camera doesn't have any new hardware besides the lens, and only gets a full touch screen UI in addition to other gimmicky software features. Literally nothing that couldn't have been done with a firmware update. Same sensor, same chip... All sony did was change the cameras software, move the 1/4 camera mount location, make the grip out of the main body molding, and made it a worse camera in low light. Would be better to get an aftermarket wide lens for the ZV-1. Why did they have to screw up the aperture. I'm so disappointed it didn't get a sensor upgrade, processing chip, or anything else besides a side grade of a lens. It was mostly a quality of life upgrade, but is in general a less versatile camera. No OSS was a cost cutting measure. Relying solely on digital image stabilization is why we see juttering in the images. When the shutter closes while the camera shakes it will induce blur... When you use digital image stabilization all your doing is normalizing the image and allowing the blur to be more easily seen.

Nothing, they. They cheaped out on the lens with a worse aputure rating and removing optical image stabilization. So having no OSS in favor of all digital image stabilization allows the image to look... Stable but fuzzy due to induced blur from the image moving across the sensor. Using OSS+Digital image stabilization is more appropriate as they will both compensate to create a clear and stable image.
