Agreed, I love the growls. Sounds great from her and add I'm envious that I cannot manage that reliably, myself. It adds so much to singing and so VERY much to low and sexy songs like this one. Song that is great and her voice in it gets to shine.
This is the last concert of the tour and it's mind-blowing she still had a voice left. Watch her perform this song at the Oscars and you will be even more impressed!
You can tell she was really struggling with her throat problems by the end of this tour, but it definitely added to the growl! If you compare this to the earlier shows, it's night and day. Her fans will be the first to tell you she's not a technically perfect singer, but she's better than her critics would have you believe and she always brings the passion and versatility. I had completely forgotten that Madonna performed this song on her Blond Ambition tour. I have almost no recollection of it. It's a really bold move, because she is so exposed, vocally. And by and large she pulls it off. *Madonna*: "Baby you're mine on a platter, I always get my man..." (1:33) *Seph*: "You can have your way with me, if you want! There's no argument from me!" So cute!
I love the next song, which is from the film Dick Tracy as well. If you see the movie and the time it was set, you’ll see it was perfection. The choreography is simple. It’s just M singing great and acting sultry.
You should have just watch the concert broken down into four parts. Seem silly now to react to each song on the tour. That being said I love your enthusiasm and energy.
Only reason i had to split them up as much as i did is because of copyright issues and time restraints. Otherwise i would do it all in one long video 😅
Not sure if you know, but M was really poorly during the Blond Ambition Tour with throat issues, and had to cancel some shows. Which may explain why her voice sounds so low at times. But I think it suits her brilliantly. I must admit, I was worried that she was gonna cancel in London when I saw her, but she didn’t… (“So lucky me!!) 😂
