Fun fact this episode actually came before the release of fnaf and ddlc. When Alex learned this he responded with the scene of Soos saying: "My wisdom is both a blessing and a curse"

It's crazy how this plot predates Doki Doki Literature Club by three years and came out only a few weeks after FNAF. But considering the production cycle this was made much earlier than anything related to FNAF. And Melody's a great character. I wish she showed up more.

"YOU CAN'T UNDO WHO YOU ARE" has to be one of my favorite out of pocket quotes from this whole show. So melodramatic 😂

Funny throwaway line: "Soos, these are children."

I'm really glad Soos got together with Melody in the end. Melody is funny, has a lot of the same interests as Soos, and she's genuinely interested and likes him as a person. I can't think of a more deserving guy to get in a relationship like that than Soos.

He once got married to a pale lady with a gold fang, who afterwards stole his winnings and crashed his car into a canyon while escaping from the cops. Her name was Marilyn On a completely unrelated note, Eda from The Owl House used to go by the name Marilyn while she hung out in the Human Realm. Funny Coincidence! (?)

Fun fact. Giffany actually survived her CD getting burned and escaped to the arcade games. Luckily she's currently dating Rumble McSkirmish (the video game guy Dipper summoned). Must be quite the relationship since it started with her laser eying him.

Fun fact: The creator of Gravity falls apparently said that one little regret he had was not being able to explore Giffany's backstory a bit more. But he also confirmed that Giffany is still alive. By the way, if you look at Melody´s blouse it says "meat cute", which is a pun about the words "meet cute", a term used to refer to an amusing or charming first encounter between two characters that leads to the development of a romantic relationship between them. Also, this episode was into production after FNAF was teased but both FNAF and DDLC were in development way before this episode was even into production (those two games have very similar concepts with anomatronics and visual novel characters that have a dark side).

Title is a play on the legitimately fantastic movie "Lars and the Real Girl" about Ryan Gossling introducing his family to his girlfriend... a "RealDoll" (a real brand of life sized anatomically correct "dolls"). Sounds like dumb shock value but is actually a touching meditation on loneliness. Nominated for best screenplay Oscar That being said that title was (hopefully) only a joke for parents and older fans and not the target demographic

i highly recommend watching the special "between the pines" before the final episode as it was played before it when the finale originally aired

As basically the real world version of Soos I feel this episode a lot, well this one and blendin's game. you'll see it when it happens. anyway, the meat cute joke is amazing and I love that montana spotted it immediately. I'm not afraid of animatronics but I always was interested in them and thought they came to life when I was a kid. anyway cryptograms! The binary on the computer screen during .GIFfany's backstory (which is repeated in the "WEAKNESSES" box on her target-analysis screen) says, "0101001101010000010000010100001101000101010010100100000101001101010101000101011101001111" which means "SPACEJAMTWO". I think one game that can definitely help with social skills and confidence is DnD XD Not even necessarily because of the game itself, but the required social interaction to play it When i first wanted to get into it, i knew no one who was running a campaign, so with no prior experience i just did it myself and i feel like that really helped with my confidence Having to work with other people to have a good gaming experience also thought me a lot about being mindful of their needs and feelings Also having a good time hanging out with a group of people regularly will just naturally lead to strong friendships being formed^^
