I was born in 1942, so it was a little after Sophie"s golden days, but I was raised always knowing her and her antics...brings back so many wonderful memories of my younger days.

I had been exposed to the song before... but yeah, when I heard the Boardwalk Empire version it mnade me come back to Sophie :) That said, very true performance of the song on the show.
