Suor Angelica is one of the three one-act operas in Il trittico. Soprano Elena Stikhina sings the role of the main character Suor Angelica, a woman who is banished to a convent after giving birth to an illegitimate baby. There, seven years later, she learns that her son has died. In desperation, she falls apart.
