He was dead the moment he cried at his daughter's wedding, with the name of a cold medicine lol and when he copped that plea with the Feds you casuals 😁
@@GreekInThe6ix I think subconsciously maybe but I think he did it mainly for as a way to see who would laugh after the mole joke (and other instances where jokes were made most likely)
@@Grassyknolldallas No you wouldn't. I watched my dad go through cancer. Chemo.. All that shit. Lost over 100 pounds.. Watching his hair just come out in big clumps.. Vomiting all the time.. Sometimes shitting.. Sometimes both at once. Having a pulmonary embolism from the chemo, throwing up blood. Having a stroke from the chemo.. And then actually beating the cancer after 3 years of struggle.. Just to finally succumb to a heart attack.. Again, damage done by the damn chemo. If you want to roll the dice and keep smoking.. Go ahead.. I ain't gonna tell you to quit smoking.. Some people get lucky. I had a great aunt who smoked since she was 12 years old... Lived to be 97.. Was still driving at 93...you might get lucky.. Or maybe die of emphysema, stroke, heart attack instead.. But no matter what happens, don't say you'd rather die of cancer.. Cause you definitely wouldn't. Cause all that bad stuff thst happens when you die of old age... People wiping your ass for you, etc.... That happens when you die of cancer too, but you're just a younger person, going through the same shit. It ain't fun.
@@Grassyknolldallas 35 days today without a cigarette. I did however take the lozenge for a week. The first 4 to 6 days without any nicotine were torture. It got better around day 10. It was definitely the hardest thing to quit.
@@hesh.hesh.2051 not necessarily. Gotti was very boisterous. Johnny sack was quiet and calculated. Maybe the style and the suits were similar to Gotti but not the character.
@@HybridBlueDream Not even. Smoking is terrible and totally uncool. To elaborate, I used to smoke but then 9 years ago switched to vaping. So every night when I go to bed, I plug in/charge my vape on my night stand before falling asleep. However in the morning, its next to my pillow and the liquid level is lower! A few nights I even woke up while I was already hitting it! You know you are hopelessly addicted when your subconscious is a worse addict than you are.
@Fun gun - No, I don't think so. My daughter was born in 2000 and there was no smoking room in the fucking hospital. You couldn't even smoke on the property. Maybe in the 70's and 80's. Johnny Sack just does what he wants....
Because he doesn't see it. He's blinded by love for her, hence why he's always talking about her and opening himself up to mockery. Dude really loved his wife lol
“Keep your friends close but your enemies closer”… Johnny’s best friend and worst enemy was that cigarette and in the end it was the smoking that killed him. 🤌🏼 🚬 💀
It's cool how well foreshadowed his cancer was. He smokes more than any character. I wonder if anyone called it beforehand. In hindsight, it seems so obvious. It's hidden in plain sight.
How many scenes does he have where he is not smoking? One or two, at best? A class act, a real stand-up guy. He could have shed some years of that sentence, but he kept his mouth shut....except when smoking of course...
Kinda funny how in the scene outside with Ralph discussing coming over to the NY family, he ashes into a tray and I think, "wow, this guy is aware enough to not litter, as well..." and then he throws the but onto the grass when he's finished. What an interesting little detail. I'm not really sure how to analyze that, but it's certainly left an impact on me. Interesting character. Perhaps my favorite mobster in the show; he shows why "cooler heads prevail". Very wise man. And Mr. Vincent Curatola really nailed this character. Every once in a while you see an actor portray a character as it were somehow the character that person was meant to play - they really own it. The Sopranos is special I think because there were a lot of relatively unknown at the time actors all under one roof who absolutely showed us a masterclass in their portrayals of their characters. Like they were meant for the roles. Paulie, Tony, Furio, Jonny Sac, to name a few. Edit: now that I watched a few more times I think I get it. He doesn't want to ash on his little golf green, but doesn't care about throwing his butt on the real grass and leaving that filter there for at least 10 years. lol! He's very proud of his little golfing green but he's very self-absorbed. Very interesting little detail. Really makes it clear why gangsters can do what they do, I guess.
0:44 Johnny plays it perfectly. Carmine def knew who Ralphie was due to his earnings made, but Johnny wanted to keep a confidant inside the Jersey crew.
Honestly from a former smoker it’s hard really hard to quit and we all know the harm we do to ourselves but we develop the mindset that if we do get cancer or death younger or whatever at least we want out controlling our destiny and enjoyed ourselves while doin it
Santiago: " We all know the harm we do to ourselves..........", but we do it anyway. Smoking is a costly, bad, dirty, nasty, addictive, self destructive habit. Congratulations for breaking that "hard to quit" vice addiction and really taking control of your life and destiny and enjoy yourself while doing it.
