Thanks for watching?!? Are you mad?! Thanks for spending time to make this amazing video. First thing I thought when I watched it was it feels like the mini is moving. Beautiful work. Till next time!
Amazing work as always, Mark. Almost entirely OSL and NMM, with a smattering of realistic leather. Also love the attention to detail on the base too. Really impressed with this.
Amazing work, even after watching so many of your videos! Your techniques and advice have helped me achieve some real progress in my own custom figures painting and I know I'm going to keep learning more and more from watching your inspiring videos. Keep up the incredible work!
Your videos are amazing, but those on Marvel Crisis Protocol are really something else. Every single one is like a masterclass on miniature painting, I'm learning so much from you thanks for the amazing work you do
I would like to do him with the blue flame but would need to change the jacket and bike colors to match/offset the blue flame. Great job the "litter" really makes it a snapshot instead of a figure. Please stay safe.
Thanks mate! I think blue flames could look awesome. I might humbly suggest looking at my Red Skull PDF; although I went a little over the top with the OSL, it might give you some ideas (using warmer tones for the "black" leather etc: sorastro.com/2020/07/02/red-skull-pdf-painting-guide/ :)
Looks amazing. I haven't painted anything this year. But Ghost Rider is sitting in my paint area right now, so may have to give it a crack tonight. I love how you painted him, it feels like everything about this was subtle but leads to it really standing out.
I may be biased as Ghost Rider is my favorite character ... but this maybe my favorite of your videos. Close to Captain America. I love what you do with metal, reflections, lighting, etc. Only wish I could have you teach a in person class!
This one is really amazg because it s a really not easy mini. Cause of dark colours leather fire relections it s hard to have a good result . i justed finished my marvel united core box i really liked to show you the result with your help with your videos
Great work as always! Not trying to hijack the comments, but any estimate on how long til Lando video released? Just trying to decide if I want to wait on video or wing it? Thanks!
How has your 2021 been going, Mr Sorastro? Haven't seen a whole lot of uploads from you, though maybe that's my algorithm being broken because I am subbed and it seems you're still on the bi-weekly schedule. They're always tremendous works and I feel like I learn a lot every time!
Hey Casey - thanks a lot! I've been pretty busy - not just with the videos, but the PDF guides too (for my patrons, and some for the website which are free for everyone: sorastro.com/). Also, some videos have to go in a "licensing queue" before I can release them, so things might seem quiet even though I'm working hard! (I've actually got the next Legion video ready to release tomorrow...) :)
I would REALLY like to see how you would paint MODOK. Whether you would use a non metallic metal or a metallic metal. More gold, or more original yellow. 😁
Just wondering, I recently got a ghost rider, but his chain hangs very low and close to his face. Did you have the same issue? Or if not, could you possibly reccomend a fix to help me put it into a higher position?
Hey Nic! Hmm I didn't have that issue myself, and I'm not sure if there an easy fix. You could perhaps reglue the hand holding it, but angle things to your liking a bit..? 🙂
I wish they designed the model with both tires engulfed in flame entirely. Its a classic look. It looks odd just having flames moulded onto certain areas and not others, the transition from rubber to fire is too stark for me. Nothing against your paint job, its fire.
@@Sorastro i love the base man, those newspaper details really gave sensation of movement into the figure. i kinda exagerated the reflections on mine a lot more but thats more of my preference than anything else.
Dear Sorastro, Outstanding workmanship! Without a doubt my favourite Marvel Character Johnny Blaze. Perhaps it has something to do with the name? Ghost Rider's chain would have driven me to distraction, whilst trying to paint the model! I think on pay day I'll order the character! Kind Regards Johnny
Hi! That wasn't a mistake but a deliberate choice, inspired by the way the bike appears in some of the comics, and also the suggestion of the sculpt itself. But you could of course paint the tyres yellow/orange if you like. 🙂
