Sorcerer Vs Knight - Elden Ring Timestamps: 0:00 Introduction 0:18 Start This video made from Elden Ring Gameplay and only have fun purpose. Thank you for watching. #eldenring #eldenringBattles #EldenringFights
It makes sense that gideon is the only one who is ready for the fight, he is the only one wearing any armour. Others are just like students who were studying sorcery suddenly put into frontlines.
It's at times like this that you can tell that Fromsoft's basic NPC ai is built with a melee focus. Count how many times in the video one of the sorcerers runs into melee before attacking, or tries to use a heavily charged spell in melee. Combine that with how many NPCs can input-dodge ranged attacks and how most mages have neither poise nor defense, it's not surprising that the mages lost.
They forgot Raya Lucaria's old adage, "If a guy runs at you with a brick strapped to his forehead, stay out of his range". This is why Wilhelm left the school, he was tired of everyone leveling mind instead of intelligence.
Gideon being a real MVP for once. Was actually rooting for him. Also... did Juno die of fall damage from jumping at 12:10? 13:41 - That was incredibly well-played. The Phalanx literally saved Gideon and gave him the W. And that showdown at the end. Gideon vs Vyke. Both of the Roundtable Hold. Very close and fittingly epic. Dunno why Gideon went for a second drink while Vyke didn't, or why Gideon's spell failed near the end, but it probably wouldn't have mattered since it still could've gone either way.
Me: Oh this should be fun pass me the boiled crab. Can’t wait to see Loretta kick butt. *Sees the knights just decimating the sorcerers* Me: Dang, well I guess I will go back to the Haligtree with Loretta. Maybe next time. Good Video.
Oddly enough, the only wizard I like is the battle wizard, because he's like the d&d wizard who says "if magic doesn't work, then the good old bonk does" and according to the lore, they sought to resolve conflicts peacefully, it's very easy to resolve a conflict with a magic cannon and hammer.
I still don't understand why npcs will just randomly stop attacking and do literally nothing but stand there until someone starts waving a pointy bit in their face, start panic rolling, get up, get knocked on their asses, panic roll away, try to use a telegraphed attack while 5 feet away from their opponent, and then they just die.
Ok Gideon represent for the mages. By the time he gets to vyke I'm still kinda cheering him on but vyke gives him a proper death... Might've snaked him on his journey as well😅
The problem here is that sorcerers aren't warriors. Battlemages are, yes. But mostly sorcerers are something akin to scientists. They study, they don't fight
The npcs does some weird things, like they try to drink when out out of estus. Mages sometimes dont try to flee from melee when they are mages but run into melee. in the final battle sir gideon tries to drink estus towards the end, gets hit, then he casted Carian phalanx twice in succession whiteout using the first. Meaning he just made himself a standing easy to hit target and achieved nothing for at least two full attacks there. Pretty close fights, yet its a lot of randomness involved, sometimes they do very stupid things and sometimes they execute things good, like winning trades or using the better spells. For knights closing the distance and go ham on the mages. I think several of these npcs that lost could also have won a rematch, if one rerun the matches. Some of the npcs will win consistently lose to better opposition. But sometimes it can be as even as who gets the last hit.
First of all, there were twice as many knights. secondly, at least for decency, it was necessary to level the HP of knights and magicians. because magicians were thrown at us mostly at the beginning of the game and knights from the beginning to the end. that is, the magicians initially had no chance, then the meaning of this video?
They really need to make magic casting uninterruptible at least. It's bad enough it can be rolled in PvP so easily, but casters can get bullied so easily, mainly NPC ones.
@@Letwoo67 Would require going against a bad player with how much charge-up those spells need. Would be real easy to smack the caster and then strafe/roll the attack. Free damage basically. Casters are at a disadvantage already with the cast timings, without being interrupted if they're even tickled during it.
@@Shin_FTW Have you even played the game? Comet comes out in one second, Giants flame uncharged comes out in about two seconds, and night comet comes out even faster and don’t get me started on the dragon spells. All of these spells can easily take half of your health, you are not at a disadvantage.
@@Letwoo67 Yeah. I've no-hit all bosses. Those spells can do a lot of damage and can come out fast after the cast windup. So? You can roll them, you can strafe most of them. Melee attacks are not as easy to avoid, are faster, are more difficult to interrupt, and do not require a blue bar in order to work. Hell, just by rolling you can beat a caster. When they run out of FP, they're cooked. Or you can just stick on them and press R1 every second and counter their entire strategy / remove their ability to play. Also, two seconds is a LONG time to launch an attack. That's enough punishment for the damage it does. Being interrupted during that long cast makes it bully-able. If you get hit by something that takes 2 seconds to cast, you deserve the L, because you can literally see it coming.
Should add the Staff Putrid Crystalian to the sorcerers they are pretty strong. Anyways, Tier 29 Headless Iron Virgin vs Bosses! That thing will be a true menace at that scaling! And Abductor virgin Duo vs NPCs? Their grabs will surely be an issue for NPC characters.
