Haine's newest vid puts it at 50/50 getting a 4 or 5 unique box. I only grabbed 1 box, and I had 3 Salmon of knowledge in it, and 3 Sir Lamorak, 2 of them in the same pack with 1 being a foil. Ugh. Got my Morgana and Excalibur though, so I'll take it.
Morgana is awesome. I am still not sold on Excalibur. I saw Haine’s video as well, and I have to say, those four unique boxes that don’t hit at least one banger do not sound fun.
I see you have clearly claimed some of the disappointing boxes for yourself. I do hope that bodes well for some of us still waiting for a chance to receive their allotment / orders. We've just been further delayed to the middle of next week here in Melbourne, Australia.
Just doing my part for the community! I am very sad to hear that Australia is delayed even longer than expected, especially since the delay was actually not expected to be as long as the announced delay.
@@Lord_of_Itza Yes, it is part and parcel of dwelling here, I'm afraid. But thank you for showing us latecomers part of what the variance is actually like. I suspect I might be better served keeping my second case sealed for the foreseeable future.
@Lord_of_Itza Yes, I had a look at that one and found I had let my enthusiasm and FOMO get the better of me after struggling to find reasonably-priced singles when I picked up Beta 9 months into its release.
After watching so many different box openings and opening 3 boxes myself - I will not be purchasing any more boxes. Sadly there is just too many dupes. Out of 3 boxes I have 3x copies 10+ elites/uniques and 2x copies of another ~5. It's just not worth it or fun to open the same cards over and over.
Haine at Wizard's Den is only recommending that folks open two. I like to have extra playsets, so I would say three for the ordinary and exceptional cards, but this is definitely not a set for the average person to open more than a few boxes.
Do not forget that AL have almost 0 MTG direct comparison: In ALPHA/BETA Philo stone = Black lotus Core = Moxes (Psychologically speaking, not literally), it was thus easier to know in advance, without even trying the game, wich cards would be valuable. In AL we will need to wait the usual 90 days after the release to have just an idea what is worth a lot and is worth less (Ok... 4 waters looks more like a Black lotus that Philo Stone...)
