Woah! 3 cores in one box! Grats! I got one Onyx, Thul, Death Dealer and a lot of other nice uniques in my two boxes. My first box didn't give me a unique foil either. But my second box gave me 2 unique foils. A River of flames and a Vesuvius.
dang. when you show the beta and alpha cards side by side it's kinda disappointing how much worse the colours look on the beta cards. I know the print resolution is better, but the art is one of the things i'm most excited about with sorcery, and the fact that the colour quality was compromised is a little sad even if it was for good reason.
Yeah, their intention might have been to improve the looks but venturing out to a challenging untested printing process instead of a proven process used for alpha was a mistake.
You can have a curio card in the ordinaryslot (commonslot) but only there. Curios are allways nonfoil and often look very similiar to the regular cards. If u got an elite or unique in the ordinary slot its an indicator for a curio card and if u got an:" a " for alpha in a beta box, its an indicator too. Allways watch the backside, if its inverted its curio too or if u got a different word spelled at the back instead of sorcery, its one too. But thats only for the nonfoil sorcerer avatar as far as i know.
I've opened a case worth of boxes so far and just hit my first foil unique on the 6th box. Experiences seem to be all over the place. Foil Courtesan Thais though so I'm happy with that
Great box 🙂Will you record the data again for Beta like you did for Alpha ? Dont think you made any video regarding the collected data or am I wrong ;-)
Yeah, the data analysis came out inconclusive so it was not published. The data points were too few. That is the reason I would not do the data recording this time.
Great video as always haine! Can you elaborate of the print run size? I have an idea that their are purposely less foil uniques because the beta print run is higher causing less occurrences of them showing up in boxes.
The print run size is not disclosed and we don't know the exact number unfortunately. The foil unique appearance seem to have case dependencies so we aren't exactly sure if there are actually less. It looks like there are foil unique rich case and the opposite like my ones; its pretty hard to tell.
@@wizardsden666 the more I see box pulls, the more I'm convinced they kept the same ratio of foils by rarity. So if less than 1000 foil uniques in total print run, with over 60k total boxes = harder to get foil uniques on a per box basis. I belive they scales up the ordinary, exceptional and elite foil levels, but disproportionately to foil uniques.
I found it funny that you need a aquamarine core because I opened 5 of those damn things and one of them is foil. Literally the only core I opened besied a ruby core.
Opened 1 case no unique foils, then 2 loose boxes still none. Finally decided to open my 2nd case, on the 1st box the 3rd pack was a foil philo stone =0
I've only opened 2 Boxes and got 3 Unique foils. (Ruler of Thul, The Immortal Throne and Witherwing Hero) But the experiences seem to be feast or famine on Unique foil rates
