Well, I've now reached the age of 72 and trying to play Irish reels has become a huge challenge for me. Try as a might its not easy to keep that beautiful intonation and roll of the music going and to me the sign of a good even excellent player is the the way Sorcha makes this look so easy. I'm not sure I will ever reach this standard so I play in hope one day something clicks and makes the struggle go away for me. Oh the beauty in playing like this is just fantastic. You are truly blessed dear lady.
Tune was misnamed "Jackson's" on one of Frankie Gavin's early albums. It's correct name is "La Cosa Mulligan," and we know this because Tommy People's wrote and recorded it.
