I had a Sorrell dog here in Australia in the 90's. He was a once in a lifetime dog. I could write a book about that dog, he was really something, geez I miss him. RIP Rex 1996 - 2009.
I feel you, we’ve had Colby’s pits forever. Just got me a sorrells bitch a few months ago, 5 months old now sitting at 33 pounds, she’s a whole lotta hell in a well balanced dog. Love that little girl
I 100% agree, I had Double bred Hard eyes x Road Block dogs of Sorrells in the 90's in Australia also, and regularly called Bert for some guidance, and they were the most outstanding dogs in every way a dog can be great. The ones I have now from 25 yr old semen, so different lines but of a similar era. Are very good dogs. But lack a little of that Sorrells Genius. SO luckily i was able to cross into some line bred sorrells, but all be it, crossed in Boudreaux Ch Guy, but still line bred. So I am hoping to pick up that shoshone blood traits somewhere an isolate them.. Truly the best of breed, in my opinion..
My personal favourite bloodline I've owned many Sorrell dogs over the years.Mr Bert is a true dogman and a great credit to this breed.His place is assured in the history of APBT's.Thank you for your legacy.
I just found this so I know I am very kate to the party but since my maiden name was Sorrells and I am a huge dog admirer, I was shocked that I did not know about these amazing companions. I am very impressed. Great video and thanks for sharing!
Sorrels bloodline are good dogs, some can be a lil bit on the heavy side but they got great drive and determination and a hard mouth, I saw one dislocate the jaw on a German Shepherd with one grip and a shake, the shepherd jumped a six foot fence and went into the pits yard because he probably picked up the scent of a female someone had brought to the pit to get mated. They had to do reconstructive surgery on the shepherd.

I never new pits back in the days came in that tri color wow i thought that eas something started with bullies but his dogs have a real distinctive look
Merle, it’s actually technically a genetic defect. It’s like ultra recessive, i forget exactly how it comes about, but any dogs that come in brindle along with multiple other colors can come out merle under certain conditions.
I had a line bred sorrel's dog named keisha.She was such a good dog and game as they come.about 35-40lbs of solid muscle.All these short,fat pits people breed nowadays are not worth a shit when it comes to working or being a game dog....I prefer lean,muscular & athletic dogs with heads that match their body.
Tudors Goldie was the basis for Sorrells Bloodline. Uncle Bert learned most of what he knows from the game breeders of his time and our great grandfather (his grandfather). There are alot of misconceptions about the Sorrells bloodline today....
I like the size on those Sorrells many people thought that Pit Bulls were breed on a small size but it was because the smaller were easier to handle Bulldogs were breed in different sizes. I always get a big one out of my litters and there still hard workers.

Best dogs came from wherever someone was willing to breed his dogs and then show them. Case closed Does this mean that only 10-15 % of matches are happening out of the state's now to say the best dogs are not here any more ?
Bert was a hardman and his dogs are reflection of him. Bert was the first dogman I ever seen to mark his dogs like cattle with a Brand. 0:51 Bull.. the key to Berts dogs. His a half brother to Bolio and a son Clouse Zeke. Bert loved them strong wrestling head dogs. Miss you old man. Keep scratching.

Does anyone know why the Black and Tan genes seem to run a lot in this blood? I've seen it in the Hammonds dogs. I also read that the Colbys had them many years ago. I've seen this color with Bull & Terrier types as well. I guess I want to see when the gene was introduced in the Sorrells line.. Just curious.
I have a five year old tatonka female and her double bred daughter. The out on the daughter is double bred leblanc's or mim's stuff dog. Daughter is doubled up on the mom. I really love these sorrells dogs, more than any other breed of pit bull. one day i will breed my little girl to a pure sorrells male. gonna be some good dogs.
landon hill I did, to EK’s Mr Machobuck. He’s 9 1/2 now, looks and acts like 4 year old dog. I’ll be breeding him to and Inbred Snooty/Sorrels gyp soon. I love Sorrels blood but if they’re pure I found you have to watch them close so they don’t hurt themselves!

Sorrell bloodline is a very good bloodline but the thing about it is in this day an time not to many people have it in good shape so it probably gonna be watered down
My Brakus is Sorrells blood all 102 pounds of him. No reason to lie people all types stop me when I walk him and say “ how beautiful he is” great temperament also

Never liked the terrible ear trim and branding Sorrells used. His dogs never made into the big time in my opinion. He was never open to the world with his stuff.
