I always felt like the "bad ending" fits Bell's character much more than the "good ending". Specially after we see Adler betraying us on the good ending postcredits. Bell gets screwed over all the time.
@@C0ncep1t I agree, but still, in Cold War we were given more of a "moral choice" instead of the classic "america good" ending. Anyone in Bell's position would have felt used, betrayed, and basically a tool that the americans were interested in. And in the good ending, even if Bell is supposed to agree with the americans, they end up betraying him again. The two endings in cold war were actually incredible if you think about it
@@adrianramosgonzalez828hate that we have to kill Woods and Mason and its weird Mason didnt get pissed at Adler or even sided with bell since he was also a victim of brainwashing
True. (Real life lore of rockets down below) In real life shaped charges like the russian rpg-7 don't explode outwards like shown in every game though, they explode forwards pushing a projectile to tear a tank.
@@Memeattraction after the fight where bell didn’t betray them adler and bell are on a cliff by the ocean then adler says it was never personal and pulls out a gun in slow motion (and so does bell) then as sooon as it cuts to black you hear a gun shot and you see the red outlines of whenever you’re damaged
@@ssmain5555in real life with a soviet RPG-7 round especially the one used you will live but lack a few finer details like a finger or a nose (or a knob)
Well it is a HEAT shaped charge used to explode and send molten copper into a vehicle to penetrate the armour and destroy the vehicle so unless they had a bunch of grenades strapped to it the explosion wouldn't act like that and nobody would've died
@@SpookyBC09PG-7VL warheads are still packed with 26oz of explosives. Just because the charge is shaped doesn't mean there's no outward blast. Plus the casing of the warhead becomes shrapnel once it detonates
@@moufinman676true but it still doesn't make Adler any less scummy cause he willing gave Bell the brainwashing serum then when he became mad, he forcefully gave Bell the serum despite warnings of the potential to eliminate Bell when they still needed Bell
@@moufinman676ehh, the same can be said about the Nazis, then? Since they were following orders, and turned on their friends, and family who were Jewish….
Alder was hands down the best character they brought from Cold War. He’s not there to make friends or satisfy even his personal agenda. He’s literally a man with a job to do.
I always choose this ending not because i fucking hate adler, which i do though. But because it makes sense, you just found out that you were tortured and brainwashed then forced to fight against your former comrades. I would say the team didnt deserve to die the way they did in this ending but they all knew about bell being brainwashed. No idea why mason thought it was okay considering what was done to him, guessing he made the excuse of its fine when its done by the CIA.
I think this might be before the first Black Ops, or right after it(I don’t remember). It wasn’t until Hudson actually broke his programming that he understood he was a sleeper agent
I always loved the little details, the fact you drop your M4 and get given an AK solidifies your true nature, once and American and giving in to your true identity
Yeah i love how he even too bell to his favorite location but this also makes me queation the game further as we know multiplayer bell is alive after the story, so maby bell, aldler, mason, and woods struck a secreat deal without mr cia knowing as a inside man, we dont see him much or at all in the multiplayer cut scenes be adlers team and masons team keep stoping or coming close to every time.
He wouldnt side with the ultranational terrorists that want to nuke europe and america. Why does everyone forget that bell wasnt a russian soldier but a TERRORIST before his brainwashing. He is a BAD GUY. and so is perseus
I love Lazar which is why when I choose the bad ending (after I get this game), I'm going to unfortunately save Parks in the mission where you gotta decide to save Lazar or Parks. If I were to choose Lazar then I would probably go for the good ending so he will survive. However, since I don't like Adler and I definitely don't like Parks, I'm save Parks just to be able to eliminate her in the bad ending 😅
We always see Russia as the enemy and always play the good guys. But Cold war honestly didn't seem to have any good guys, only bad and worse. Loved being able to finally have choices again in a COD game. Would also like to play with Russia more, sick of UK or US lead campaigns.
Uhhh, not exactly. The gray moral isn't gray, it's more like brown. The only good russians in the game are the ones who betrayed Soviet union and joined USA forces. Adler does nothing realy bad, yes he killed surrendered enemy but he's a terrorist, there is more of it, but i simply do not remember it.
Yeah, the "Russia = bad guy" thing is a bit trite. It's the same reason why I'd like more WW2 campaigns playing as the Germans, preferably without being beat over the head every 3 seconds about how i'm the mean evil bad guy.
@@strawbman in MW2019 even price says "let me guess, Russians?" Because even the devs know how overused it is... Also playing as Germans would be awesome! People think that all German soldiers were Nazis when in reality it was just a bunch of very young adults who were either drafted or tricked into joining the military, the real Nazis were a small (I use small a little lightly) group (SS) that was heavily influenced by Vikings and other more evil ideas. It's actually quite interesting how deep the history of Hitler and the actual Nazis were. They had full on rituals that would be cool to see in a COD cutscene.
Honestly the main character here is completely in the right, why do these clowns even expect a brainwash victim to side with them lol. The story of cold war is so nonsensical
The third one is when Bell didn't alert his Russian allies about them going to that spot and Bell dies there Remember the radio where you use for the bad ending where Perseus will show up and kills Adler's team If you betrayed them but didn't use the radio, that is the third ending which is bad for both sides anyways
I never saw that option. I immediately went for the signal ambush. But it's nice to see you can use Adler's own phrase against him before you kill him. 😊
The only reason I only did this ending once is because I felt so bad killing Woods, cause hes my favorite character and he seems almost nice to us in the campaign
Mason and Adler: "We searched this entire compound and found nothing" *Bro literally 10 feet away hiding behind a rock with an rpg and an entire army behind him*
It was Hudson orders, Adler is just a tool for the good of the world. And Bell is essentially a terrorist, a villain that without the brainwashing he would've died as another side villain of the story.
The endings to this game felt so weird. You doom America and Betrag your "allies" and Adler goes like "you lied to us Bell? Man this really hurts my feelings 😢"
The title should have been one of the options to say. It would make sense too. Bell uncovered the brainwashing code. And bell just turns around and says "Its like you said, _WE_ got a job to do!"
Man, this ending was bullshit. They all died in the most goofy ahh way, the only one with a worth death was Adler. Besides, Bell passed from having Adler's short leash to have Perseus's. There's not much difference in between.
@@notthedeadweight there is total difference With Adler we are garbage that will be killed by the same Adler With Perseus we are right hand, and very much alive
Video game creators need to understand that when their POV / playable character does not have voice diologue, then it loses a real connection and becomes less immersive. It’s just reading off a script that the NPC’s respond to and just loses that 🤌 feeling of control to the storyline.
I disagree. I find it to be the opposite. If there's a voice, it feels more like you're playing as a character. If there's no voice, it feels more like you ARE the character. The latter lends itself to more genuine emotional reactions because it's like it's happening to you personally, rather than you witnessing it happen to someone else. Best example of this is in the fallout series. F3/FNV doesn't have a voiced protag, so you feel more immersed in it because you naturally imagine the character's voice as being your own. Conversely, in F4, you have a voiced protag, so there's no room to do that. Any emotional impact that comes along gets reduced because you're relegated to experiencing it more like a third party spectator than someone directly involved.
I havent played this game but ive always liked Treyarch's Campaigns. Their level design and the characters are so memorable. Even this clip this Bell character looks badass. Love the voice acting.
It's not really a mission more of an ending, to get it you have to get to the locked radio behind locked gate at the place where you choose missions and then choose betray Adler.
@@Naivelubasically second to last mission you chose lie instead of truth. And then the game tells you to call reinforcements then you get this ending.
Even though bell doesn't got a voice those lines just feels like it hits hard. Like imagine it went from American accent to Russian plus regardless if it was bad or not it's survival especially when someone literally brainwashed you into being whatever they made you. C.I.A. MI6 or ex KGB or whatever, they gave bell that "My whole life was a lie"
